10 years later

Vi had a glass of brandy in her hand. She would drink just a cup in the afternoons after she was finished with her duties. She looked out at the view of the royal land. Suddenly, she felt a palm on her back. She looked to see the Queen standing next to her.

"Is there something wrong, My Love?" She asked her.

"It's nothing," Vi told her. "Just reminiscing."

"Ah, is that so? There's nothing on your mind?"

"Nothing at all. I'm just here admiring the view."

"Alright then. Also, Cecilia is wondering where you are. She's been desperate to show you the new doll I got for her."

"A new doll, hm?"

"Yes. You might want to put that glass down though."

Vi chuckled at the thought of her daughter for a moment. The little girl always jumped into her arms after not seeing her for hours. She did the same with Caitlyn. She would talk about her day then go play with Christopher.

"Would you like me to take that?" Caitlyn asked, holding her hand out. Vi put the glass in her hand just in time for Cecilia to come running outside with a brand new porcelain doll. Vi picked her daughter up, looking at the doll's design as it was shoved in her face.

"Look!" The girl exclaimed. "Her dress is pink and everything, isn't it pretty?"

"It's amazing," Vi said in response, kissing Cecilia's head. "Did you choose this yourself?"

"No, mother surprised me! I love it so much!"

Caitlyn smiled at the sight of her daughter's excitement. That's when Christopher came walking outside. He typically found himself in the same position as Vi around this time of day. He typically brought his favorite toys outside and enjoyed the view of the land.

Christopher was not much of a talker. He gave vague responses and carried on. He didn't typically care to have a decent conversation, although he was never rude. He was never rude with his responses, only brief. He was rather smart for his age. For the most part, it was book smarts. He enjoyed engineering, similar to a relative of his sister-in-law's family. He was very tedious with his work and he never allowed himself to make mistakes.

Cecilia, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. She was a sweet young girl with a lot to say. She had a lot to show to people and she didn't exactly care who the person was. She'd tell them regardless. Needless to say, Cecilia loved everyone. There were times her parents would have to drag her away from people just so they could carry on with their day. She just loved to talk.

Today, she had an obsession with her new doll that she had to show everyone. She even showed Viktor before she showed Christopher and everyone else in the palace. She showed all the workers before finally reaching her mother.

"Mother, am I getting too heavy?" She asked Vi.

"Not for me," Vi told her. She had a strong hold on Cecilia, her muscles not even aching in the slightest. "Perhaps for everyone else. You must stop jumping into everyone's arms."

"I can to you! You're strong!"

Vi laughed a bit, "Maybe so, but you must grow out of this eventually. What happens when you're in your twenties and I'm much too old to hold you?"

"I don't know..."

The woman laughed a bit more at her daughter's responses. She put the little girl back down and turned to her younger brother-in-law. He had been examining the screws of one of his wooden toys.

"It isn't damaged, is it?" She asked him.

"No," Christopher said, poking at one of the mentioned screw. "I believe I just need to tighten this piece right here. It should be alright then. Caitlyn, would you mind telling Cecilia to stop bothering me so early in the morning?"

Caitlyn chuckled, "She's just happy," she said, leaning against the stone banister of the balcony. "I'm afraid I cannot control that."

"No harm in trying. Also, you wouldn't mind taking me into the village tomorrow, would you? I need a couple new tools."

"Oh, did Viktor not have any?"

"Unfortunately not. That's alright. I don't mind spending a few coins of my allowance." Christopher got up from where he was sitting and took the toy back inside the palace. There was some sort of exchange between he and Cecilia, but it was inaudible for Vi and Caitlyn.

The two women shared a quick kiss, Vi resting her hands on Caitlyn's waist. "I hope your day wasn't too stressful," said the blue haired Queen.

"I just checked on appeals the Parliament sent in," Vi explained. "It wasn't as stressful as last week. At least I get to see your beauty afterwards. It's all worth it in the end, isn't it?"

"Oh, don't be such a sap, Violet."

"You know you love it."

"Perhaps. Let's go prepare the dinner, I'm a bit hungry."

"Of course, My Queen."
