Roseanne's pov

We're back in Seoul and I miss Lisa right away. But she promises we'll keep in touch. I am not sure how but I am sure the Universe will have its ways to let our paths intertwine.

Jennie summons me for a quick lunch after I landed and that's where I am right now; inside a fancy restaurant with her sipping at least her third glass of Champagne.

"I have someone you need to meet,"

She says when the waiter comes to refill her glass. But my sister requests that she drops the bottle right away and bills it to us afterwards. I eye Jennie after the waiter leaves.

"Where was I?" She chuckles as she sips her fourth glass of Champagne. "Maybe stop drinking for a moment?" I sip my water and Jennie's mouth curls into a smile.

"You've noticed it, don't you?"

I nod. "Well, I have my reasons," She raises her eyebrows at me before someone steps behind her. I don't think I've seen that face before.

"Jennie," The voice starts and my sister spins to see, a smile stretches her lips again as they briefly hug.

"Oh, you're here," Jennie looks at the unnamed person while I'm more interested with the unimaginably tasty pasta I'm having. Maybe, I should invite Lisa here next time that we're on a date.

"Rosie," my sister calls and I lift my face to give her a look. Then, she gestures at the standing figure next to her.

Lanky with short, wavy brunette hair that is a stark contrast against her porcelain skin. Handsome. But not that handsome.

"Meet Jae Park, my new business partner," Jennie announces and we shake hands. "Rosie," Jae utters my name but I don't like the sound of it rolling down her tongue.

"That's a cute name by the way," She compliments but I decline with a headshake. "Please, call me Roseanne. Rosie is for family only. Or friends,"

"Then, I guess we can be friends first," She smiles. I notice her teeth are fully bright and straight. "And decide after that, if we can be family next" She lets out a very flirty smile and that literally turns me off.

"No thanks," I look at her. I am sure my face shows no remorse for that. "You're right, Jen" Jae turns to face my sister. One hand scans her hair as she sits down next to Jennie.

"She's a bit feisty but I like her already,"

"Excuse me?" I tug a hair behind one ear as I look at them both. "Jen, what the hell is going on?"

"Nothing," Jennie supplies. "We're just having lunch, that's what's going on," She pops a smile before asking Jae if she would like to order. The woman declines.
