Lisa's pov

I take another shot of Whiskey and Vodka before hissing and regretting my decision a minute later. The alcohol burns my tongue, sets the back of my throat ablaze.

The bartender laughs, but leans in to offer me her fistbum.

"You're supposed to bum it," Suzy speaks amidst the loud music blasting in the background but I roll my eyes at her chuckles. "Nope, thanks"

"If you aren't that heavy drinker, maybe you should stick to only juice," She offers and I wave her a middle finger.

We've known each other for quite some time now, hence it explains the love - hate relationship that we have.

"You should tell me that's going to burn," I point out and Suzy ignores me as she makes another order.

"You're not a kid anymore, Lisa" She passes the drinks to another person who ordered it. Then, after taking her money, looks at me with a smirk.

"Grow the fuck up. Alcohol is supposed to burn but it doesn't mean forgetting,"

"And I don't know what the hell are you implying,"

"You will one day," Suzy ditches me as she turns to a new customer that occupies the empty seat next to me.

"You're new here," I hear she says when I bury my face in the comfort of my palms, hoping the taste fades away.

"So, what do you have in mind? We have everything here,"

"Just a coke," the voice utters. "Seriously?" I can hear the tease in Suzy's voice.

"Another baby who crawls inside Only Adults place," She sighs when the customer says nothing.

The sound of refrigerator's door slamming is personal.

"Here you go, nerd"

"Actually, I do drink. But not tonight,"

"Oh, interesting,"

Suzy grins. Then, she leans her body on the counter so that her chin can rest atop her palm.

"Tell me. I know good story when I see the main character,"

"Don't mind her," I butt in, throwing Suzy a balled napkin.

She curses me under her breath but her curiosity remains.

"Come on, dude. We're inside a club and all of us are drinking. Even me. We won't remember anything when we wake up tomorrow,"

She continues to push but I tell her to stop. One has to be given the right to remain silent if one wishes for it.

"Besides, I've only ordered a coke. I doubt that I won't remember if it I spin the story now,"
