Falling for Marshall

Chapter 7

"You awake?" Kacey asks me, it was fucking freezing in this apartment, Sometimes I wished I said yes to Jace's offer about moving in with him or him buying me a more comfortable flat a bigger one but I hated being looked after.

"Yes, what time is it.." We were both laying on my bed, Kacey turned around to check the alarm clock by my bedside. "Almost 9:20" She mumbled back.

"Leah, can I ask you something.." She turned towards me with a worried and serious expression on her face. Leah? Usually it would be Lish or chay, She would never call me by my actual name, this must be serious.

"You already asked me a question." I said wiggling my eyebrows, she let out a small laugh and shakes her head. "Stop acting cleaver you cow.." She laughs back hitting my shoulder.

"Okay..well shoot" I wait for her to speak, she opens her mouth and then closed it again.

"Why have you got bruises on your back.." I was wearing a sleeveless grey crop top and joggers on. Fuck, I forgot all about them. All these memories started rushing in my head, Tears were threatening to spill, now my eyes were all glossy.

Kacey places her hand on mine, comforting me by rubbing my hand between both of her's. "Someone hit you? Who did this Leah...was it Marshall...Leah if it wa-" I cut her off mid sentence .

"No Kacey it wasn't Marshall.." I let out a deep sigh and rub my eyes to prevent any tears from out.

"Who was it then.." She had a confused look on her face. "You can tell me Leah.." She squeezes my hand for me to carry on.

"It..it was Travis Kacey..." Tears were streaming down my face now, Kacey was frozen for a few seconds pn her side of the be, she moved over to me and hugged me as she stoked my hair.

I sniffed and wiped the tears from my cheeks and under my eyes.

"He came round the other day and said that Capleo wanted me to join back with the gang..." I looked up to Kacey who had a scared look on her face. Me and Kacey were in a gang and Capleo was the suppler and leader, one of the gang members was like the second leader of the gang named Ryan, know as Ray or Big Ray, you wouldn't dare mess with him. Ray and Kacey got into a relationship but with all this money he changed so when I decided to quit the gang because they were stealing supply and killing people form Jace's gang, Kacey came along with me, Ray obviously didn't take it well and searched for the two of us and still is.

"What did you say.." She half whispered still in her own world. "I said no" I mumbled back.

"And- and he hit you?" She was eying the bruises on my arms.

"He tried to rape me!" I start crying again. Kacey also had tears in her eyes she sniffed and wipes her tears and opens her arms to me for a hug. We sit there for about 20 minutes not talking. Kacey breaks the silence first.

"What did you tell Jace and Marshall.." Her eyes were also red and had tears stains under her eyes.

"I told them he wanted to get back with me and when I refused he hit me and you know, tried to rape me.." My voice cracked at the last part of my sentence.

"Leah, I am so sorry, You have no idea how bad I feel not being there.." She looked at me now with puffy eyes.

"No Kace, please don't..There's- there's something else too.." She moved her eyes from the ceiling and looked towards me sitting up, she knew what I was gonna say.

"Travis wasn't the only one that was there.." Her eyes were now forming fresh tears.

"Ray was there too.." I half whispered. Kacey broke down and placed her head in her hands and started to sob, I rubbed her back until she calmed down.
