Falling for Marshall

Chapter 24

Leah's P.O.V:
"Merry Christmas!!!" I wake up to Aron and Avery jumping on me and hugging me. It was 7 in the morning..I was already behind schedule.

"Merry Christmas my babies." I chuckle as we have a big bear hug. "Where's Hailie and Alaina?" I ask sitting up and pushing my blonde hair back.

"They just left. Their mom said they need to get ready." Avery says getting off my legs and jumping off the bed, she walks over to the Tv and switches it on.

"Why didn't dad stay?" Aron asks. Then it hits me..Kim and Marshall had a argument last night! I fell asleep around 3am becuase I was tidying up all night. I was so tired I forgot about them arguing, Is Marshall even going to come for Christmas?

"He had to work..Come on switch the Tv off. We need to get ready, everyone will be here soon." I say getting out off bed, Avery switches it off and both of them run downstairs, Adriana was already downstairs making breakfast.

We have breakfast together in the kitchen as Avery and Aron tell me about how excited they were about their first Christmas with their dad being there, it was also going to be my Christmas with Marshall after 10 years for me. After breakfast, the kids go upstairs to have baths and I get the food ready.

Once the food is ready and the turkey is in the oven I go upstairs and have a quick shower since I washed my hair before I went to bed last night. I wrap myself in a towel and iron the kids clothes, once they're dressed I take out my white thigh length dress and my nude coloured heels. I leave my hair to the sides and do my make up quickly. Once I'm dressed I decide to call Marshall, to ask if he was going to come. On the last ring he picks up.

Phone call:
Marshall: "What?!" He sounds annoyed and sleepy.

Leah: "Hey..It's Leah."

Marshall: "Oh..The fuck do you want!"

Leah: "Listen Marshall....I didn't call so you could be rude to me-" He cuts me off.

Marshall: "What...You want me to be fucking nice and shit! You must be outta your damn mind!"

Leah: "Do you blame me Marshall?! I mean you cheated before.."

Marshall: "Don't you fucking dare start on that shit..It was 10 years ago, get over it!"

Leah: "10 years..Fuck you Marshall! Seriously!! I know how it feels to be cheated on and I feel sorry for Kim. I fell so hard for you and in the end your broke my fucking heart!!"

Marshall: "Kim was with another guy twice when we were together!"

Leah: "Well...Karma's a bitch isn't it Marshall!" My voice starts to crack a little.

Marshall: "Fuck you!! I didn't break your heart Leah, it was all ready shattered in pieces by your father and by Travis!" He snaps..I go quiet for a few seconds.

Leah: "I called you because I wanted to make sure you were here today, it would have been Aron's and Avery's first Christmas with their father...You know what Marshall, I thought after these 10 years you might have changed, that you might have-" He cuts me off again.

Marshall: "What? That I would have gotten back with you? Just move on Leah!" I wipe my tears and let out a huge breath.

Leah: "That's the problem Marshall...I've fallen for you again this time..And I've fallen for you harder this time." I hear him sigh heavily through the phone.

Marshall: "Leah I-" I cut him off before he brings me to tears again.

Leah: "Just be there for Aron and Avery Marshall...Not for me..For them."
