Judd meeting Sloane for the first time

Deans POV.

„I liked our life's without other people" Ironically that was one of the only things I believed Lia with. I tried to stare her down but she didn't care. She was more interested in her nails than what I had to say anyway. We waited now for almost two hours. Sitting on the kitchen counter as if it was Christmas, so much for not being interested. Tanner should be here by any minute. I knew it because years ago when I still used to life at his he put this app on his Ex wifes and my phone that could show your location and since then everyone just forgot about it. They didn't tell us much about the new girl. We didn't know much about anything going on really since Tanner got a new partner.

Her name was Locke and somehow she gave me bad vibes. Maybe because there was underlying bias that she and Tanner seemed a bit too close. Eventhough I would never admit it Tanner and his Exwife were a perfect match. Not just from a subjective view but from a profilers view as well.  Judd likes Locke even less than I do potentially because she was apparently already a thing with Tanner before he even met his Ex wife. But there must be another reason Judd dislikes her. Whenever I tried to get more out of the old men he just leaves the room. Always when Locke is over Judd is nowhere to be found and if they accidentally cross paths Judds looks could be deadly

„Maybe I should also do my toe nails" Lia switched back my attention to the actual subject of interest. The new girl. The only think he did tell us was that he did find her in Las Vegas. The last days Lia and I tried to think of helpful abilities the FBI might want to have but we couldn't really think of any. „Is the new girl still not here?" Both of us jumped. Even though Lia tried to act like her second of weakness didn't actually happened. „Still isn't here" Lia commented and actually genuinely smiled at Judd. She doesn't let me see it often but its no secret Judd is the closest she ever had to loving parent. „Don't start acting all cool around me, ok?" Judds words came as surprising as the sudden moment on the porch that we could see from the kitchen. „Can't make any promises" I almost didn't hear Lias comment because the next thing that caught my attention was the girl standing in the doorway. She had long straight really light blonde hair, green eyes and freckles around her face. She looked so much like." Who is this?" Judd didn't ask the new girl but Tanner who entered the door seconds later. „You know never mind. I just ... I just" He didn't finish his sentence but only ran off to his rooms. The new girl looked exactly like a young version of Scarlett. Tanners Ex wifes best friend. Judds daughter. Scarlett got killed four years ago.
