This is the scene were Michael hit this man by the pool because he was convinced he hits his son. (All in)
Sterlings POV
I was aware of Mr Wesleys eyes. How he kept looking on my cleavage as if he hoped my blouse would have been opened a few more buttons. He was someone who looked down on women and only saw them as objects. It didn't took me much to hide how disgusting I found this man. Sadly I was used to this treatment.
I let Tanner talk. I knew we wouldn't get much out of him. I let my gaze go outside the room. We had a perfect view of the pool. People were having the best time of their lives. Didn't care that somebody got murdered around here. Maybe they didn't know.
I didn't think much when I looked outside the window until a few security men caught my eye. Was that? I saw Cassies read hair. It was. Jesus Christ. What the fuck were they doing here? Then I saw Dean and Michael how they got forced to leave. Wasn't there one day without trouble.
„Thank you for your time Mr. Wesley" I grabbed Tanner by his arm and shoved him outside. Just in time to get phone signal again. „What the fuck was this about?" He was mad. In a bad mood. Possibly bad sleep. Even though I didn't believe this a second, he never had troubles falling asleep .
Before I could tell him what I saw, his phone rang. „Briggs" it didn't need to guess who was on the other end on the phone. My ex husband screamed a few more vicious words and hang up the phone. „Call Judd and tell him he should take his job more seriously" He was furious. Almost screamed at me.
I only raised a brow. Judd is ex military he will have a pretty good reason for letting the kids alone. „We know Lia she and Michael get away with everything" I excused Judd and had trouble following Tanners step. „But he is not getting away with punching a stranger in his face" „What did you just say?"
Ten minutes later we stepped foot in the security building. „What the fuck. I want a pretty damn good excuse for this?" For now I was just standing in the doorway. Observing the whole thing happening.
Tanner approached Michael who sat handcuffed on a table looking pretty miserable. He had cuts and bruises and somethings about the whole situation made me think. He would only do this to impress a girl unless. „Let me talk to Michael"
Both Tanner and Michael looked at me surprisingly as if my words were in a foreign language. „You can scream at the other children. Let me alone with him" first Tanner hesitated. Then looked back between us once more and finally left the room.
I sat down opposite to him. „Sometimes it is hard to build boundaries. To not let things get under your skin" I explained looking deeply in his eyes knowing he could read me like an open book and that he got the message behind that. I knew exactly the moment he started to understand.
„Wow I never liked that old man but really? How did I not see this earlier" I never attended to let anyone know about this. There were only two alive knowing: Tanner and Judd. Now Michael. „You didn't see me much with him, thats why" He didn't answer immediately reading my emotions like a book again. „I only saw him twice with you and both times he talked you down. Both times you looked at Judd as if he could save you. It makes so much sense. How bad?"
It really was a topic I didn't talk much about and it was something I liked to keep locked most of the time. „Bad. Really bad but it stopped. When I went to college and got together with Briggs" Who still decided to side with my father at our divorce.
I could hear steps coming closer and somehow I didn't want Tanner to know that I told Michael about it. „Don't worry I keep this between us. I won't tell anyone that your father hit you as well" I turned around and looked into his smirk. He was hurt, surprised be my but also actually somehow scared but he decided to put a mask on like most his life. „Next time don't punch him. Let me know and I'll try to dick dirt out. Ok ?" Michael nodded. „And if anybody asked I really angrily yelled at you think it was the worst decision to punch that man"
I was always convinced that Sterling also had a really bad childhood and that she was actually a mix of a natural profiler and a emotion reader because of this. I'm also convinced that she invented the idea of the naturals program as a joke while being in the FBI academy and only Tanner knew about the idea and used it at some point. And I'm also convinced that she is more carrying than we know often times. Did you like this scenario? And what are you guys thinking?
