The doctors told Olivia she had to stay in the hospital one more night before being discharged. They checked over all her vitals thoroughly--with Felix hovering nearby--and found nothing out of sorts with her. In fact, she was so healthy they wondered if their machines were faulty. Olivia's vitals were impeccable—her heart rate steady, her blood pressure perfect, and her reflexes sharper than any they'd seen in a long time. They ran tests and rechecked their data, but everything pointed to the same conclusion: Olivia was in perfect health. More than perfect, even.

One doctor, a gray-haired man with wire-rimmed glasses, flipped through her charts, shaking his head in disbelief. "I don't know how this is possible," he muttered, scratching his head. "After everything, your body went through... it's almost like you're a new person."

Olivia exchanged a glance with Felix, whose expression remained unreadable, though she could sense the pride radiating off him. He knew why. The wolf in her was taking over, healing her from the inside out.

They weren't exactly strangers to treating werewolves, but Olivia's case was something else entirely. Her recovery had been faster and more complete than anything they had seen before, even for a werewolf.

Dr. Hall, the gray-haired man with wire-rimmed glasses, let out a sigh. "Werewolf physiology is known for rapid healing, but this..." He trailed off, shaking his head. "It's almost as if your body has accelerated beyond the usual threshold. We've seen enhanced healing, but this level of cellular regeneration is... extraordinary."

Olivia didn't need an explanation for what he meant, but Felix did. "Is that a bad thing?"

Dr. Hall hesitated, glancing at Felix before responding. "Not necessarily. It's just... unusual. Even among wolves." He cleared his throat. "You'll need to be monitored, at least for the next few days, just to make sure your body stabilizes."

Felix's eyes narrowed slightly, his protective instincts kicking in. "Monitored how?" His tone carried a hint of suspicion, the tension between him and the doctors palpable.

Dr. Hall raised his hands in a placating gesture. "We don't intend to intrude. But her transformation has triggered something... beyond normal werewolf healing. We need to make sure it doesn't overwhelm her system. Like the over stimulation of your senses."

Olivia sat up straighter, her mind racing. She wasn't just healing; she was changing. The wolf in her was doing more than mending wounds—it was reshaping her from the inside out. The realization sent a ripple of unease through her. What if she couldn't control it? What if this new strength came at a cost?

She looked to Felix, who remained steadfast beside her, his presence a comforting anchor in the storm of uncertainty. His eyes softened as he met her gaze, silently reassuring her.

"One more night," The doctor said, making a note on her chart. "We'll run a few more tests in the morning, just to confirm everything. Then you're free to go."

The doctor turned to go and Olivia was basically brimming with excitement on the edge of the hospital bed. Felix smiled down at her as she stuck her hands out to him, where he grasped them and helped her ease out of the bed. Mira had brought Olivia leggings and a crewneck, and with great convincing, she was able to change out of the hospital gown.

So now she looked up at Felix, with a lopsided smile, in comfortable clothes. Things were looking up for her. "Tomorrow can't come fast enough."

Felix leaned down, lancing her fingers in his. "I agree,"

Olivia smiled as she leaned away from him, her body arching into his. Despite everything—the overwhelming changes, the uncertainty of what was happening to her body—his closeness grounded her. His hand squeezed hers lightly, a subtle reassurance that they were in this together.
