The episode opens with all the campers sitting in a tight circle, their faces illuminated by the fading light as they discuss the shocking turn of events. Chef stands a few feet away, keeping watch over the group, ready to act if any potential danger threatens.

Bowie is the first to speak. “Well, me, Caleb, and Chef weren’t having much luck finding Julia,” he starts, trying to process the situation as he talks it through with everyone.

Caleb cuts in, nodding. “Then once we did find her, we didn’t get to exchange many words. We all just ran when we heard Damien,” he adds, glancing toward Damien, who’s still looking a little shaken.

Wayne picks up from there, his voice steady but uncertain. “We were walking when we heard this yell, yeah? It came from the trees. Next thing I know, Axel’s got me and Damien on the ground,” he says, still sounding a little bewildered by how quickly everything happened.

Axel, ever the soldier, explains further. “I heard the same yell from when Raj was... swiped,” she says, her tone grim. She’s trying not to dwell on the memories of that day. “I looked back and saw MK swinging at us on a vine. By us, I mean Wayne. I tackled Wayne to the ground and dragged Damien down with us, just in case,” she finishes, her voice sharp and focused, as if she’s still in survival mode.

Julia, quiet up until now, finally speaks. “So... MK’s alive?” she asks, her voice soft and full of both hope and fear.

Damien, who’s been trying to stay calm despite the chaos, gives her a look. “Is that all you heard?” he asks, disbelief evident in his tone.

Julia just looks down at her lap, guilt creeping across her face. She knows there’s more to this than just MK being alive, but she can’t help but latch onto the one shred of hope—that maybe MK can be saved.

Axel, sensing Julia’s turmoil, addresses the group, though her eyes linger on Julia. “MK looks totally different. I didn’t get a great look, but there were some big differences. It was hard to recognize her at first,” she says, her tone serious. Axel’s trying to remain objective, but even she can’t shake the unsettling feeling MK’s transformation gave her.

Julia, lost in her thoughts, stares at the ground. A million questions swirl in her mind, but one thought overrides them all: Is MK too far gone? Julia would give anything to bring MK back with them--safe, far away from this dreaded island. But after what she just heard, she fears that MK might not be the same person she used to know.

As the group continues to process what they’ve just learned, the weight of the situation hangs heavy in the air. Each of them, in their own way, is grappling with the grim reality that their former friend might be beyond saving. The island has changed them all, but what if MK's change is irreversible?
