Zafar's Pov:
After the meeting ended, I was exhausted. It was a busy day yet I'm glad to sign the contracts. I was improving day by day, learning from my mistakes. Life's all about learning right?
I was driving towards my apartment. As I stopped the car on red light, my eyes moved to the lake side area on the side of the road. I liked the area around my office. It had cafes, restaurants, on one side and a park around a lake on the other side.
Often couples used to spend hours there sitting on the bench just talking. Or kids running and swinging on the swings. It was a busy yet somehow peaceful place. The sunset clearly visible from there making the setting sun look like a ball of fire submerging in the lake.
As I was looking around waiting for the green light, my eyes fell on a girl sitting on one of the benches. I parked my car and went towards her.
"Niyamat?" I asked as she flinched. The chocolate milkshake on her hands almost slipping. "Zafar?" She asked surprised.
"Sorry I didn't mean to startle you," I apologized with a smile as she kept looking at me surprised," Mind if I sit?" I asked, "Huh? Oh yeag, sure sure." She replied a bit shuttering."Why are you here?I mean you come here often?" She asked still shuttering as I chuckled, "I was just passing by, my office is near. I'm not a stalker you can relax." I replied whispering the last sentence. Her eyes became wide as she replied, " n-no I wasn't thinking anything like that-t, I was just surprised.." "Okay if you say so, but why are you here?" I asked this time curious.
She looked at me hesitant, then looked at the lake once again, a soft smile appeared on her face as the golden rays fell on her caramel skin. " I wanted some fresh air so I came to the cafe nearby, I was about to go but the view from this place was so pretty and the sun was about to set in 10 mins. So I thought to sit here for sometimes." She said kinda embarrassed
Her eyes shining like it's carrying the whole universe, I stare at her long lashes, no sign of mascara. She was beautiful naturally. Just a soft shade of almost wiped lipstick was visible with a light stroke of blush. My eyes went down on her hand.
" You like chocolate milkshakes?" Her eyes shifted from the lake to me and then again to her hands. She gave an embarrassed smile once again, " Well I do , but specifically this one from this cafe. They load it with chocolate crumbs. You should try," She said, "Well when the doctor's advising me I'm sure I won't get diabetes," I said as she started laughing.
Her smile, so beautiful and elegant. The smile lines guiding her face as small dimples form beside her lips. Her eyes forming into an eye smile as she throw her head back a little. "Well the doctor also advises not to intake such huge amount of sugar often, once in a while is okay." She said still giggling.
"Okay Dr. Whatever you say","Hmm" we both chuckled. " It's getting late, I'll drop u home," I said getting up from the bench after a few moments. " No no it's fine, I can manage." "Didn't we just became friends that day? You won't take lift from your friend?" I said with a cheeky smile. She looked hesitant at first but agreed.
We were sitting inside the car in silence, as I drove the car. When my eyes fell on a small fair held nearby."Niyamat?" I called her grabbing her attention. " Yes?", "Wanna go?" I pointed towards the fair. She looked at her watch, unsure of what to say. After couple of seconds of staring at me she gave me a smile with a nod and we both got out of the car walking towards the fair.
