I flip to my right side attempting to block out the bright light, persistent in disrupting my slumber. I twist and turn, searching for that elusive comfort, damn it.

I accept it as I get up and stretch, looking up to the ceiling, what time is it?

My heart skips a beat as I see my phone read "10:12 AM" though relief sets in when I realize it only Saturday, no need to panic. I think I'll go out today, I need a break from everything.

After a quick shower I go straight downstairs to eat, my mom and dad already up at the table. I swear it's like my parents don't sleep, I tune out my dad's voice as he announces to the whole house that he's "been up since 5 AM" when he doesn't have work today.

I greet my mom, mashing up avocado for my toast and steeping black tea for myself.

"Good morning mom, morning dad." I wait for their response to sneak in my plot to leave the house.

"Mom, can I go out today?"

My mom leaves a silence, here she is, acting like she's thinking about it. I roll my eyes, waiting to hear the expected:

"If you do all the dishes."

20 minutes later I'm finally done, I run upstairs. I'm planning to go to the new cafe down the street, so the earlier the better. I turn on music as I get ready, slipping on a cute jean skirt with tights, a white off
-the-shoulder sweater, and put my hair in a bun, leaving out strands to frame my face.

I look around at the bottom of the steps, then sneak around like a cat, in high alert of anyone. I forgot that this skirt shrunk, it barely reaches my arms when I put them to my side. If my mom saw the length she would probably take me to church everyday for the next month.

I breathe a sigh of relief as I finally open the front door, letting the fresh breeze enter the house.

It feels so stuffy and enclosed in here, even school can feel freeing at times. I Intook the autumn air, feeling relief of no of Naruto, homework, and especially no new awkward situations.

I make my way to the cafe, spotting it coming closer up ahead with each step, and roll my eyes as I find myself in a long line. It's only 11:00 AM, these people have no life! I think to myself, also in line.

I finally get to my turn, taking in in the smell of coffee, apple cider, and buttery croissants, admiring the cozy vibe in the cafe. A cat in the corner snuggled up on the beanie bag while I see people reading from their library selection.
