"Do you understand?"
I turned to him, trying to decipher any thoughts behind his blue eyes.
He gave a blank stare, scratching the back of his head while actively avoiding eye contact.
Before Naruto could answer, footsteps. We both turn our heads to Sasuke who appeared behind us, his dark gaze assessed us like usual as he sat down against the bookshelf, not uttering a word.
He looked to us with silence, then seemed to realize we had questions.
"Itachi left." He stated flatly, crossing his arms.
His words were followed by an awkward silence. After a few seconds he closed the gap of quietness.
"Can I.. join you guys?" He asked, unsure by our response.
I snapped out of my trance, "yeah. I'm trying to help Naruto understand Trigonometry."
He nodded his head in response, for a split second I could see him eying our 2 coffees beside each other, then he swiftly turned away his gaze.
I could use a snack right now, i thought to myself I rose from my spot.
"I'll be right back, meanwhile maybe you could help Naruto." I said with a smile before I turned around the corner.
the shop here is cheap, maybe I should get Sasuke something; after all, I saw him looking at both me and Naruto's coffees.
I look up at the menu options: mocha latte, Frappuccino, chai, coffee, vanilla bean coffee, etc.
I don't know what his tastes are at all though, what would he like? My gaze starts to wander as I see their juice selection.

Naruto:
Sakura left me alone with Sasuke. I turn my focus back to the math problem and bite my fingernails out of boredom, how the hell am I supposed to do this?
Sasuke seemed annoyed "What do you need help with?" He asked.
I pointed at the page "I don't understand-" I squint my eyes, reading the tiny words on the textbook. "Exponential and.. logarithmic functions or whatever." I said, stifling a yawn.
Sasuke takes a deep breath, it looks like he's already lost all his patience.
"You know we finished that unit a month ago, right? How did you get through it?" He questioned in disbelief and pity.
