The next day I considered texting him however I didn't because I really wanted him to first. He never texted me but instead he called later that night. It was about 10pm and out of the blue my phone started ringing. I picked it up to answer.

"Good evening," I said in a formal voice, as a joke.

"Why hello there my fair lady, what a pleasure it is to be speaking with you at this hour."

Laughing I said, "Ah, tis that isn't it?"

"As a matter of fact it is"

We both laughed.

Still laughing, "hey... you won!"

"I always win." Jake stated with a cocky undertone.

"Ohhhh so thats why you called, to beat me?"

"Obviously, why else? Defiantly not because I was desperately waiting to talk to you again, that would be obscene."

"Ah yes, incredibly."

We ended up staying on the phone until 2am just talking. A man has never made me laugh more than he has. I swear it was joke after joke.

I had already told him an hour prior that I was needed to hang up but his charismatic personality was no help. So we talked one more hour then I told him I really needed to leave, with a bit of convincing he let me go, only because I promised to let him call first again.

I found it extremely attractive how much he wanted to put forth effort by initiating everything. Sure, I (Sarah) got his number, called him the first time, but he was the one who has done literally everything else. It's so refreshing to not have to beg for someone to... I don't know... try?
