Part six: I wanna be your Friday night

It was the Friday before his deployment, Jake had texted me earlier that day informing me to dress a bit more formal tonight. I was thrilled he had said that because I absolutely love dressing up. The whole idea of putting so much time into presenting your best self just made me happy.

At 7pm I heard a knock...

"Hi," Jake spoke softly, "You look beautiful."

He was wearing an all black suit with no tie, a few buttons were undone, and a black cowboy hat. (Dammit if he wears one more cowboy hat I might loose my shit, in a good way... I love the hats)

We followed our normal date night routine, he comes, we put the flowers in a vase, then we go to where ever he choose for the night. We ended up at a super fancy restaurant downtown. It was gorgeous. The food was immaculate, the drinks were even better.

The night was coming to a close when he brought me home, except I didn't want him to leave...

"Hey,"

"Hey," he winked.

"You wanna come inside?" I said with a drowsy smile.

"Yes ma'am."

I lead him in and we dropped on the couch, it wasn't too late yet but I was actually exhausted, however... I really wanted him to stay.

"Beth?"

"Jake."

"I know I mentioned that I was only seeing you, and you agreed to only seeing me..."

"Yeah."

"It's been a few months now so should we make it like official?"

"Yes, we shall make is officially known to the public that I, Beth am now officially your one and only girlfriend." I said as a joke, but I meant it. 

After I said that he began to lean closer to me.

Our faces were nearly touching when I couldn't take it anymore and just kissed him. He kissed back seeming more excited than I was...
