Seokjin took a deep breath. "I chose to... turn her into one of us"
"NO!" Jimin shouted.
Everyone turned to him at his sudden outburst. No one would dare question a decision from the master of the manor. However, considering the exceptional situation at hand, Seokjin remained calm.
"I know some of you are not in favour, but I believe it is the best decision. She is part of our family and I don't wish to abandon her. I'd like to give her another chance" Seokjin explained.
"You can't do that!! After all I've gone through, all the suffering, all the struggle! You want to inflict the same pain on her?? I can't let you! If you really like her, if you want the best for her, then let her rest in peace... Please..." Jimin pleaded.
"I know it was difficult for you. But it doesn't mean it will be the same for her" Seokjin attempted to reason with him.
"Controlling one's thirst is always difficult for a newborn"
"You're right. But she won't be near any human to make it harder. And she will benefit from Hoseok's potions to make it easier"
"Don't turn her into a vampire... Not her... She deserves peace... Look at all she went through because of vampires... And you want her to become one? Isn't that cruel? She was literally killed by a vampire, repeatedly attacked because of a vampire"
Seokjin reflected on his words for a few seconds, as if he hadn't considered this.
"I understand your point of view. But everything that happened was because of her blood in the end. She would have led a normal life if her blood hadn't been special. And now, this won't be an issue anymore. Moreover, we are also vampires. She had good memories with us, I am certain of it. It is like any species Jimin, there are good ones and bad ones"
"I know that"
"I know your transformation proved to be especially difficult. But I promise you, we'll do everything we can to make it as easy as possible for her, alright?"
Jimin glared at him in silence. He didn't want to be convinced, he was firmly against the idea. He was so afraid that she would suffer as much as he did. He didn't wish such a fate for her.
"Jimin... This is none of my concern but I must ask. Didn't you... have feelings for her?"
Jimin jumped and stared at him with wide eyes.
"I don't mean to make you uncomfortable, I'd just like to know"
Jimin's eyebrows furrowed and he nodded.
"Then, don't you wish to spend your life with her?"
"Her well-being is more important than my feelings"
"This is admirably selfless of you. But what if that was her wish too? She looked happy with us, with you. What if she didn't want this to end?"
Jimin thought about all the memories he had of her. The way it all started in the corridor when she cut herself and he almost jumped on her. The way they practised together. How good a student she was even though he was a strict teacher. The way she comforted him when he had the 'nightmare'.
Suddenly, a vision occurred to him. Once it was over, he stared at her body with wide eyes. He couldn't believe what he had just seen.
"I don't mean to interrupt, but time is running out" Yoongi pointed out.
"Fine. Do it" Jimin said, not taking his eyes off her body, still bewildered.
Seokjin was a bit taken aback by this sudden change of mind, but he didn't waste any more time. He bent over Y/N's body, ready to give her some blood.
