The ride back to Aaron's home was silent, but it wasn't uncomfortable. Rune leaned his head against the car window, his red, puffy eyes gazing at the passing city lights, his body still trembling slightly from all the emotions that had erupted earlier. Aaron kept stealing glances at him, his chest tightening every time he saw the tear stains on Rune's face.

When they arrived at Aaron's grand, modern home, he parked the car and walked around to open the door for Rune. "Come on," Aaron said softly, extending his hand. Rune hesitated for a moment before taking it, his fingers trembling as they intertwined with Aaron's.

Inside, the warmth of Aaron's home enveloped Rune, making him feel safe for the first time in days. "Sit," Aaron instructed, guiding Rune to the plush couch in the living room. Rune sank into it, his body heavy with exhaustion.

"I'll get you something to eat," Aaron said, his voice calm but firm, leaving no room for Rune to protest.

Minutes later, Aaron returned with a steaming bowl of soup and some bread. He placed it on the coffee table and handed Rune a spoon. "Eat," he commanded gently, sitting beside him.

Rune looked down at the food, his appetite nearly nonexistent, but the concerned look in Aaron's eyes compelled him to take a small sip of the soup. The warm broth slid down his throat, soothing in its simplicity. Aaron watched him closely, ensuring he ate enough before finally taking the bowl away.

"Come on," Aaron said again, this time extending his hand to Rune. "You need rest."

Rune hesitated but allowed Aaron to pull him up, leading him to the spacious bedroom upstairs. The room was dimly lit, the soft glow of a lamp cast Aaron guided Rune varm, golden hue. Aaron guided Rune to the bed and sat him down, crouching to remove Rune's shoes with gentle care.

"You don't have to-" Rune began, but Aaron cut him off with a soft smile. "Let me take care of you," he said, his voice low and soothing.

Rune's heart ached at Aaron's kindness. As Aaron stood, Rune's hand shot out, grabbing his wrist. "Stay," Rune whispered, his voice shaky.

Aaron nodded, sitting beside Rune on the bed. The silence stretched between them, heavy with unspoken words. Finally, Rune broke it.

"I'm sorry," he whispered, his eyes fixed on his hands. "For running away. For being scared.

Aaron reached out, cupping Rune's cheek and forcing him to look up. "You don't have to apologize," Aaron said, his voice filled with tenderness. "I understand. But you don't have to face this alone, Rune. I'm here. Always."

Rune's breath hitched, and before he could stop himself, the words spilled out. "I love you, Aaron. I've never felt this way about anyone, and it scares me. But I can't deny it anymore."

Aaron's eyes softened, and he leaned closer, their foreheads touching. "I love you too, Rune," he murmured. "From the moment I saw you, I knew you were different. You've made me feel alive in ways I didn't think were possible."

Rune's lips parted in surprise, and in that moment, Aaron closed the distance between them. Their lips met in a slow, gentle kiss, a soft brush that sent shivers down Rune's spine. But as the kiss deepened it became something more-a desperate, passionate expression of the emotions they had both been holding back.

Aaron's hands cupped Rune's face, his thumbs brushing away the last traces of tears as their mouths moved together in perfect harmony. Rune's hands found their way to Aaron's chest, his fingers clutching at the fabric of his shirt as he leaned into the kiss, losing himself completely.

Aaron's tongue traced along Rune's bottom lip, seeking permission, and Rune granted it, opening up to him. The kiss turned fervent, their tongues dancing as they explored each other, the taste of longing and love mingling between them.

Rune moaned softly against Aaron's lips, the sound sending a thrill through Aaron's entire body. Aaron's hands slid down to Rune's waist, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them. Rune's fingers tangled in Aaron's hair  tugging gently as the  kiss grew more intense.

The world around them faded away, leaving only the sensation of each other-the heat of their bodies, the taste of their lips, the rapid beating of their hearts.

When they finally broke apart, both were breathless, their foreheads resting together as they tried to catch their breaths. Rune's cheeks were flushed, his lips slightly swollen, and his eyes glistened with unshed tears.

"I'm scared," Rune admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I know," Aaron replied, his hands still holding Rune's face. "But I'll protect you, Rune. From everything and everyone. I promise."

Rune nodded, his tears spilling over once again, but this time, they were tears of relief. For the first time in what felt like forever truly safe. He felt safe.
