The morning sun seeped into the room, its golden rays brushing against Rune's face. His body felt unusually warm, cocooned in the protective embrace of Aaron. Slowly stirring, Aaron's eyes fluttered open, and his gaze landed on Rune. His features softened as he watched Rune's peaceful expression, his lips slightly parted, and his hair tousled from sleep.
Unable to resist, Aaron leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to Rune's lips. The gentle touch caused Rune to stir, his lashes fluttering as he woke up.
"Good morning, Bambi," Aaron murmured, his voice husky and filled with affection.
Rune blinked, his sleepy eyes focusing on Aaron. "Bambi?" he questioned, his tone slightly incredulous.
Aaron smirked, brushing a strand of hair from Rune's face. "Yes, Bambi. You looked so cute while sleeping-big, innocent eyes, just like a little deer."
Rune's cheeks flushed, and he pouted. "If I'm Bambi, then you're Grumpy," he shot back, folding his arms in mock defiance.
Aaron chuckled, his deep laughter filling the room. "Grumpy, huh? You're lucky you're adorable, or I'd have a comeback for that."
Their playful banter continued as they got ready for the day, the warmth of the morning moment lingering in their hearts as they parted ways to head to work.
The day passed slowly, and Rune found himself glancing at the clock far too often. By the time evening arrived, he couldn't hold back his urge to see Aaron any longer. Deciding to surprise him, Rune made his way to Aaron's office.
Standing outside the grand office door, Rune hesitated for a moment before knocking softly. Slowly, he peeked his head inside, his eyes scanning the room timidly.
Aaron, who had been engrossed in reviewing documents, looked up at the sound. His gaze softened the moment he saw Rune's head sticking through the door. Rune's shy smile, coupled with his hesitant demeanor, was the most adorable thing Aaron had ever seen.
"Oh, my cute Bambi," Aaron said, his voice dripping with affection. "What are you doing there? Come here."
Without thinking, Rune pushed the door open and, in one swift motion, bounded over to Aaron. Before Aaron could react, Rune plopped onto his lap, straddling him with the ease of someone who felt completely at home.
Aaron's heart skipped a beat as Rune looked up at him with those wide, innocent eyes, his lips curved into a soft smile. "I missed you," Rune said simply, his voice barely above a whisper.
Aaron, overwhelmed by the sight before him, cupped Rune's cheeks, tilting his head up gently. "You're going to be the death of me, Bambi," he murmured before leaning down and capturing Rune's lips in a deep, passionate kiss
Rune's hands instinctively clutched at Aaron's shirt as their lips moved together, the kiss filled with a mixture of longing and tenderness. Aaron's fingers trailed down Rune's face, brushing against his neck and shoulders as he deepened the kiss, savoring every second.
Breaking away slightly, Aaron began placing small kisses all over Rune's face-on his cheeks, his forehead, the tip of his nose, and even his jawline. Rune giggled softly, his hands resting against Aaron's chest as he tried to catch his breath.
"Stop, it tickles," Rune mumbled, his laughter lighting up the room.
Aaron pulled back just enough to look into Rune's eyes, his thumb brushing over Rune's flushed cheek. "You make it impossible to stop," he confessed, his voice soft but laced with intensity.
Rune felt his heart race at the sincerity in Aaron's eyes, the warmth of his touch grounding him. He rested his forehead against Aaron's, closing his eyes as a small, content smile played on his lips.
"I think I'm addicted to you," Aaron whispered, pressing another soft kiss to Rune's lips.
Rune's cheeks turned a deeper shade of pink, but he didn't pull away. "Good," he murmured. "Because I don't want you to stop."
For a while, they stayed like that, wrapped in each other's warmth, the world outside forgotten as they basked in the comfort and joy of being together.
