The evening air was cool as the Forger family returned home, the day's adventures still lingering in Anya's cheerful demeanor. She chattered animatedly about the park as Loid helped Kaito remove his shoes at the entrance.

"Did you see the big slide, Kaito? I went down it like a superhero!" Anya exclaimed, bouncing on her toes.

"Yeah, I saw," Kaito replied, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "You were pretty fast."

"Super fast! And then we swung so high! Right, Papa?" Anya turned to Loid, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Absolutely, Anya. You were like a rocket," Loid said, grinning as he surveyed the lively scene. Just then, the front door swung open, revealing Yor, her gentle demeanor illuminated by the soft glow of the hallway lights.

"I'm home!" she announced, her voice warm and welcoming.

"Yor!" Anya squealed, rushing to hug her mother. "You won't believe how much fun we had!"

He looked at her. Waiting for a response, as his old back story hit her she smiled softly and  crouched down to embrace her daughter. "That's wonderful, Anya! I'm so glad you had a good time. And you must be Loid's son." she added, standing and turning her attention to the boy at the doorway.

"Yes, ma'am. Nice to meet you," Kaito replied, his expression polite yet reserved.

Loid stepped forward, sensing an opportunity. "Yor, I'd like to introduce Kaito properly. He's been living with some relatives after the death of my wife, and it's been a tough adjustment for him."

Yor's eyes widened slightly, concern immediately etching itself across her face. "Oh? I'm so sorry to hear that, Kaito. That must have been incredibly hard for you."

Kaito looked momentarily startled by the sudden attention but quickly regained his composure. Loid shot him a subtle nod, signaling him to play along.

"It was," Kaito replied, his voice steady but tinged with sadness. "After... after she passed, my relatives weren't really prepared to take care of me. I often felt out of place."

Yor's expression softened instantly, her heart swelling with sympathy. "That sounds really difficult. You must have felt very lonely."

"Yeah," Kaito muttered, allowing a hint of vulnerability to seep into his expression. "I had to figure things out by myself. It was tough."

"Oh, Kaito," Yor said, her voice gentle and filled with compassion. "You're safe here now. We're a family, and you can always talk to us about anything."

"Thanks," Kaito replied, his demeanor softening slightly.

Loid watched as Yor's protective instinct kicked in, her nurturing nature eager to embrace the new addition to their family. "We're all about helping each other here," he added smoothly, wanting to reinforce Kaito's narrative. "Anya has made great strides in feeling more secure, and I think Kaito will benefit from that too."

"Definitely!" Anya chimed in, nodding enthusiastically. "We can be superheroes together!"

Yor smiled at Anya, then turned back to Kaito. "And if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask. We're here for you."

Kaito nodded, feeling the weight of her kindness. "I appreciate that."

As they settled into the kitchen, Loid took the lead in preparing dinner. "I thought we could make spaghetti tonight," he suggested, trying to keep the atmosphere light.

"Spaghetti sounds great!" Yor replied, moving to gather ingredients. "Kaito, do you cook? We can all work together."

"I can manage some simple meals," Kaito answered, his tone more relaxed now that he was engaging with Yor. "But I'm not very good."

Yor's eyes sparkled with encouragement. "That's okay! We can teach you. Cooking is a wonderful skill to have. And it's much more fun to do it together."

Loid smiled at Yor's kindness, knowing her compassionate nature was helping Kaito open up. "Anya is our resident expert on spaghetti, right, Anya?"

"Right!" Anya said, bouncing excitedly. "I can help! We'll make it the best spaghetti ever!"

As they began to prepare dinner, Kaito seemed to relax more, sharing little snippets about his past, always reinforced by Loid's subtle nudges. "After my mom passed away, I lived with relatives who didn't really understand me. They were busy with their lives, and I was just... there," he said, his tone even, but there was a vulnerability in his eyes that Yor picked up on.

"Really?" Yor's heart ached for him. "That's not right. Everyone deserves to feel special, especially after going through something so painful. We'll make sure you feel at home here, Kaito. I promise."

Kaito looked genuinely touched by her words. "Thanks. That would mean a lot."

As they finished dinner, the conversation flowed more easily. Anya was gleefully recounting her tales from school while Kaito joined in, his earlier reticence fading away.

Loid felt a surge of satisfaction as he observed the scene. Kaito was slowly weaving himself into their family fabric, and Yor's compassionate nature was helping him open up in ways Loid had hoped for.

As the night wore on and the dishes were cleared, the warmth of family filled the apartment. Kaito, who had walked in as a stranger, was beginning to feel like part of something bigger.

After when both the girls had bid them goodnight. Kaito grinned, a proffessional one at the most but for a second even Loid was startled.

"How was my acting, Father?"

A simple smile. Thats all that occured before the response.

"Splendid."
