(Past Mars' P.O.V ) The underlining is Theia

I thought that nothing could be worse than back when everyone was fighting. Before you could go days without a moment of silence, there could always be an angry and hateful scream heard from anywhere in the Goldilocks zone. It was so scary back then. It constantly felt like I was surrounded by a bunch of bloodthirsty demons, it's so different now.  For the most part, we rocky planets are completely harmless, of course, there's the obvious exception of Theia. She may not be strong, but that d̶e̶m̶e̶a̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ humorous smile of hers hides a devious and manipulative jerk willing to do anything to have a bit of fun.

I should've noticed that something was wrong sooner,  I mean thinking back on it if the sudden onslaught of asteroids coming from outside the asteroid belt when it had been clear skies for just over two weeks wasn't enough proof, the fact that he caught Proto crying his heart out should have been enough.

I remember being so furious, I don't remember the reason why though. It was probably just a lonely day, I had to cool down, and the only thing that helps me when I get like this is Proto, he always listens to me even when I'm being an asshole. So I decided to look for him. That was the first of many mistakes I made that day. Sadly, along the way, I had the misfortune of bumping into Little miss bothersome. Now look, I've seen Theia pissed off before but in the moment she looked like she was going to actually going to pull a supernova on me.

Being the smart planet I am I turned around and went in the other direction, but being the terribly unlucky planet I am Theia caught up with me.  I sigh. At least she looks like she's in less of a terrible mood now, wonder why?

"What do you think you're doing running away from me like that?" She says teasingly,

I shrug "I dunno, what are you doing chasing me?"  I say playing along, maybe I'm not as smart as a planet as I first thought, what I said was not the right answer. Mistake #2

She smiles "Just wanted to talk to my favorite planet."

"Same, so I gotta go" Theia stops thinking about what he just said.

"The HELL is that supposed to mean? " She yells somehow managing to do a  180, I snicker and mellow back a little " You KNOW you're supposed to give people some sympathy when they're having a bad day." she shouts.

"Don't I know." I say quietly

"You have anything to say?"

"Not to you."

"..." Her eye twitches dangerously, uh oh, maybe I went too far with the teasing this time. At least if I die now I'll be happier knowing I made Theia's day worse.

"You. Did. Not. Just. Say. THAT!" I laugh even though I feel a little bad for her.

"I didn't know you were hard of hearing, Theia, maybe you should get that checked out?"  Theia pauses and starts hanging her head low, and then the most terrifying thing happens, she laughs. It's quiet at first then grows louder  and abruptly halts, she raises her head, and quite possibly the most disgusting thing I have ever seen appears on her face

... she smiles, that's never a good sign. Just what the hell does she have planned?

She gives me a pleasure-filled laugh, I huff, gross.

"Gosh Mars, really are the most fun." She goes back to her original bubbly tone doing a full 360.

"I don't think that's a compliment coming from you."
