Chapter 43

Nash's POV

"You don't understand Hayes. I hate my life, it's all my fault. The one person that I loved is gone, no one understands that!" I said sitting on Hailee's bed in her shared room with Hayes.

"Well remember Bree? I actually kinda loved her too, but now she's dead to me." He laughed.

I smiled.

"Maybe things will get better for me." I sighed standing up.

We heard the door open downstairs and a familiar voice yell "HEY IM HOME MY PEOPLE!" It was Cameron !

We went downstairs and we greeted Cam. Last week he went to Chicago to pick up Ashley as a surprise for Hails. Carter was there too, he had to leave Maggie in California for a family event.

"Hey Ash long time no see " I said smiling.
"Yeah well I'm only hear for Hailee, I don't like you 😂" She laughed.

"I'm joking !" She said.

"Where's everyone at ? Besides the Lindsi situation..." Carter said.

" Hailee and Matt had to go do something, but they didn't say what." Hayes said sitting down on the couch.

Hailees POV

I told Matt the day after my phone call with Lindsi that we had to go somewhere and of course he had ask where. Typical Matt, always worried.

"Well I have something planned. Its uh top secret." I said.

I wanted to go over to our house where Lindsi was staying to bring her back to the vacation cabin, we obviously need to talk to Nash about her pregnancy.

"Oh. Okay..." He responded.

I didn't want to tell Matt why we were going so I called a taxi to take us there. I had Matt get it first so I could sneak the taxi man the address of our house.

"Okay I'm settled." I said sitting next to my brother.

"Uh sis aren't you forgetting something ?" Matt asked me.

"No?" I said confused.

"The location ding dong!"

I smiled. "No need idiot. I plan everything ahead. NOT LIKE SOMEONE." I said shoving his side.

We pulled up to our house and the taxi guy stopped the car.

"Why are we at our house ?" Matt asked confused. I just smiled and grabbed his hand, motioning to get out of the car.

"Thanks dude, here's the cash." I said putting some money into the drivers hand as he drove off.

"But Hailee why are we back home for ?" Matt kept pestering me. I sighed and pulled his arm.

"just shut up will you?" I laughed. "Fine" he muttered.

I took the spare key from underneath the plant where I always keep it just in case I need to get in or something. I walked in the door and Lindsi wasn't there.

"Hey Lindsi ??" I yelled. She came downstairs a little while later. She looked at us and laughed.

"How'd you get in? Lemme guess spare key?" She said. I sat on the couch and said "You know it."

"I brought Matt here so that we could talk about something. " I said motioning for them to sit down. Lindsi shook her head no but ignored her.

"Hey sis.. If there's anything you need to say just tell me okay?" Matt said. "Well I-uh" Lindsi started.

"Promise me this: don't freak out on Lindsi okay Matt?" I said to Matt. He looked confused. "I don't know where this is going. Just tell me."

"Well Matt-" Lindsi began. I shut my eyes and hugged the pillow, I really didn't want to see matts reaction.

"I'm pregnant Nash is the father !" She yelled.
