"WAIT, DRAKEN-KUN!"

The moment we reached the hospital, Draken did not waste any second and hurriedly burst into the emergency room to search for Emma while I was trailing behind him. His dark frantic eyes were desperate as he approached the nurse's station to inquire about a patient by the name of Sano Emma.

Before one of the nurses could respond, a familiar voice caught our attention.

"Draken-kun! Y/N-san!"

The two of us whipped our heads toward the door to see Takemichi panting with tears swarming in his large blue eyes. Judging from the look on his face, I had this sinking sense of anxiety and foreboding that it wasn't any good news.

Draken quickly rushed to Takemichi and grabbed him by the shoulders. "Where's Emma, Takemitchy?" he asked worriedly.

Takemichi's complexion turned pale at his question. He was struggling to speak coherently and kept stammering as if he was finding the right words to say. "E-Emma-chan's... She's... um..."

Draken grew impatient and shook him aggressively. "She's what, Takemitchy?!"

"Stop it, Draken-kun! Calm the hell down for a second! You're hurting him!" I stepped over between them and forced him to release Takemichi. I turned my gaze to my blonde neighbor and asked him calmly, "Where are Emma and Mikey, Michi?"

Takemichi took a deep breath first to collect himself before he could manage to get a word out of his mouth. "Come with me."

We followed Takemichi to the secluded area of the hospital--each of our steps heavy and slow until we finally stopped in front of a room.

My body instantly ran cold when I realized where we were standing.

It was the mortuary.

I was horrified. No, it can't be...

Takemichi quietly opened the door and gestured for us to step inside.

I gasped loudly in shock and put my shaky hands on my mouth as soon as I laid my eyes on Emma's lifeless body. She was lying on the cold metal table draped in white cloth. Her once vibrant and cheerful face now looked pale and serene as if she was only in deep slumber.

"What the hell is this...?"

I glanced to my side to see Draken's expression twisted in agony and disbelief as he stared down at Emma's corpse. Tears welled up in my eyes and I started to sob, my heart aching for them. I was aware of their feelings for each other and seeing Draken in so much pain for losing the girl he loved the most was just too heartbreaking.

Emma was just alive this morning and made breakfast for her family. She even argued with Mikey for the soy sauce. How come she ended up dead? How could this happen? And what about Mikey? What did he feel about this?
