"Hana, you were supposed to debut with us."
Hana blinks up at Jay, feeling her stomach drop.
"What?"
"You had enough votes Hana. You were supposed to be the 8th member."
Hana sits there silently, looking down at her hands that played with the fabric of her pants.
"Jay... it's been 2 years since Iland, I don't care anymore." She looks back up at him while standing up, her voice slightly shaky.
"What? Hana, you could've debuted with us! Aren't you mad you went through that fucked up show just to have them decide you aren't good enough even though you were?"
Hana stood there, not knowing what to say as she had already gone through all of these emotions, yet alone. "Jay.. it.. it doesn't matter anymore."
"I need to tell someone. They can't just get away with this they-."
"JAY! Just, stop. Please. Do you hear what you're saying? Tell who what? That I got over a million votes and should've been in Enhypen? Do you know what they're gonna say after that?"
The boy stands there silently, his brain all over the place as anger washes over him. "Jay they'll say the whole line up is rigged. They'll say all the votes were fake that, some people weren't meant to debut. We can't let anyone know about this."
"Well maybe that's the truth. What if I wasn't meant to debut. What if-."
"Jay. That's not true."
"Well how do you know?!"
"Because I know Jay! It's only me. I was never made to debut. The lineup is all real, all of it except for me."
The boy eyes his best friend carefully, studying her expression. "Hana... how are you so sure?" He asks, frowning as he watches her. "How do you know?" His jaw clenches, watching as the girl's gaze shift to the floor.
"I... Hana... did you already know?"
She stayed silent.
"Hana. Did you already know."
Jay's voice was stern, his fists were balled up and his jaw was tense. He watches the girl nod.
"When did you find out? Did you always know?"
She shakes her head.
"I.. I found out a couple weeks ago. The staff members were talking about it and I heard. After confronting them about it they showed me the real votes. All votes were the same as what was released, all except for mine."
