Hana's POV
Soon enough we all decided to sit down and talk about what we have to do.
I sit down on the end, Taki sitting next to me.
They start to talk but I don't really listen, thinking of my own thoughts.
Who do I eliminate?
Do I eliminate who needs to improve before competing in Iland,
Or who threatens me,
Or who threatens us as a whole?
We're 17, and 4 aren't going to stay, who are the four who should leave?
Who?
"Hana? Hanaaaaa, Yah Sato Hana!"
I flinch slightly and look up, seeing all the boys look at me. "Hm?"
"Are you even listening?" K says and I widen my eyes slightly. "Do we eliminate who we think needs to improve, or who threatens us, or who threatens us as a whole?" I suddenly ask, catching them all off guard.
"Do we be selfless or selfish? It's a competition, but no one's going to be openly selfish are they even though we have to. We're all scared of being seen as the bad person, so we'll vote for people you think others will vote for or choose the safe option. Will that help us?"
They all stay silent, not knowing how to respond.
"I'll vote those who need to improve then." I mumble in Japanese, catching the eyes of the ones who understood.
"You seem very nervous."
"Oh my sweet Jesus father of God Taki."
16 very confused boys look at me. "Are you religious?" Taki suddenly asks causing most of the boys to burst out into laughter. My hand is still on my chest in surprise from a Taki that's very close to me.
"Taki you surprise me a lot." I say in Japanese, still shocked.
"You get startled easily."
"I get startled by things that shouldn't startle me and don't startled by things that should startle me." I say, more to myself than others.
