The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden glow over Mumbai as Savi sat in her room, heart pounding with anticipation. Today was the day—the day she had been waiting for. The results of her IAS exam were finally being announced, and she could hardly contain her nerves.
Her phone buzzed on the table, and she jumped, quickly reaching for it. Her heart raced as she unlocked the screen, her breath hitching at the sight of a new message from the IAS Results portal.
Savi's phone rang, startling her out of her anxious thoughts. She quickly answered, seeing Shivani's name on the screen.
"Hello?" Savi said, her voice trembling slightly.
"Savi! Oh my god, I have amazing news!" Shivani's excited voice came through the speaker.
"What is it?" Savi asked, her heart racing.
"You passed the IAS exam! With flying colors! I just got the notification!" Shivani exclaimed.
Savi's hands began to shake, disbelief washing over her. "Are... are you sure?" she stammered.
"Yes, I'm absolutely certain! You did it, Savi! You're going to be an IAS officer!"
"I... I can't believe it," Savi whispered, tears of joy forming in her eyes. "Thank you so much for telling me, Shivani!"
"Congratulations, my friend! You deserve this. Now go celebrate!" Shivani cheered.
As soon as she hung up, Savi let out a joyous shout. "I did it! I really did it!" Her voice echoed in the quiet room. Without hesitation, she dialed Rajat's number, the excitement bubbling over inside her.
"Rajat! You won't believe it!" she exclaimed as soon as he answered.
"Savi? What's wrong?" he asked, his tone shifting to concern.
"I passed! I passed the IAS exam!" she shouted, her voice filled with pure joy.
"Are you serious?" Rajat's voice was a mixture of shock and happiness. "You did it! I knew you would!"
"Yes! I can't believe it! Come over right now! We have to celebrate!" Savi urged, practically bouncing on her toes.
"I'll be there in ten!" Rajat replied, his enthusiasm infectious.
As she hung up, Savi felt a wave of exhilaration wash over her. She quickly tidied her room, glancing in the mirror and smoothing her hair down.
A short while later, the door swung open, and Rajat stepped inside, a wide smile plastered across his face. He rushed toward her, lifting her off the ground and spinning her around.
"You did it, Savi! I knew you could!" he said, setting her back down.
"Thank you for believing in me! I couldn't have done it without your support," she replied, her heart swelling with gratitude.
Rajat cupped her face in his hands, his eyes locking onto hers. "You are the one who worked hard, Savi. You deserve this moment."
He leaned in and kissed her, their lips meeting with a fervor that ignited the air between them. The kiss deepened as they melted into each other, the weight of their shared journey and struggles dissipating into this blissful moment.
After their passionate kiss, Savi pulled back slightly, gazing up at him with a playful glint in her eye. "So, what's the plan for the celebration?"
Rajat grinned, the corner of his mouth quirking up. "I thought we could order some food from that restaurant you love and have a little celebration right here."
Savi's eyes sparkled with excitement. "That sounds perfect! But let's add some drinks to the mix!"
"Now you're talking!" Rajat laughed, pulling out his phone to place the order.
