Char hunched herself over the dining table, her seventh coffee was starting to wear off but she couldn't stop.

"Darling, your eye bags are bigger than the moon itself, you need to rest." Marjorie realised she sounded rude and quickly added "shit no that was so mean, sorry, I just want to help you. You're exhausted."

"It's okay, you're right, I'm tired."

"Understatement of the century."

Marjorie gathered the growing pile of mugs and brought them to the sink. Charlotte had been staying with Marjorie and Reece for the past few days, she couldn't bring herself to enter the house her and Mia had shared for only a week before..it..happened.

"How's the plan going?" Marjorie called through as she washed the dishes

"I'm almost done"

"Really? What do you have so far?"

"Well, it's not really the plan you were thinking of"

"Char. You've been working on this for almost a week. Please tell me some of it involves Roger getting some form of karma."

"It does! But it's not the..main focus."

"THE WHOLE POINT OF THE PLAN WAS TO KILL HIM. HOW HAVE YOU MANAGED TO-"

Marjorie cut herself off as she saw Charlotte start to tear up, she was never good with criticism and now was worse than ever.

"I'm sorry Char.. Tell me what you have. I won't interrupt or anything."

Char nodded and blinked away her tears quickly

"First we need to get Roger out the house, I made a list of three options we can try just incase some of them don't work."

Marjorie hummed in approval and waited for her to continue

"The first is to call him over to the nursery, the only excuse i could think of that would work is to tell him you're thinking of quitting, he'd be over instantly."

"Ooh that's good, but what would I say when he turns up?"

"Some bullshit about a parent or something, it doesn't really matter"

"Fair enough, next option?"

"Mhm, Aut suggested this one but it would be to set his house on fire."

"Excuse me? Why do you even need him out the house in the first place?"

"We need to get Siobhan out of there, as risky as it is a house fire would be a great distraction, while he's out front sorting firemen we can sneak Siobhan out back!"

"God.. props to Aut. It would work but it's insanely risky, death is the easy way out for Roger and considering he's a 60-ish year old smoker his lungs would not hold up in a fire. I want one of us to get to him first. Also it could harm Shib- Siobhan."

"Exactly, which is why the third option is our best." Charlotte smiled slightly, realising Marjorie was making an effort to be kinder to Siobhan.

"The last is to just wait and go to the house while the rat is away and get Siobhan, leaving with her before he gets back!"

"Yeah I think we should definitely stick to the last option..." Marjorie stopped to think for a second and then smirked. "Actually, what if we get Siobhan with option three and then sprinkle in a bit of option two..?"

"Are you suggesting we set the house on fire after saving Siobhan?"

"Exactly!"

"I love it" Charlotte laughed and stood up, walking over to the sofa.

"So, are we doing this?"

"Mhm, let's wait for Reece to get back and meet Aut there."

"Are we waiting for Roger to get back too..." Marjorie smirked

"Fuck, I forgot."

"I noticed. Don't worry, I happen to know he's attending a managers conference a few towns away, it starts in an hour and me and Reece got out of it!"

"Great! How come that's only just come up?" Charlotte raised her eyebrow

"I thought you'd appreciate it more if I told you in a moment of desperation" Marjorie laughed and sat next to Charlotte, turning on the TV.

Around an hour and a half later Reece walked through the front door, he looked exhausted but determined. He had a few guns and moved to the left to reveal Autumn holding her bat, they just waited at the door while Char and Marjorie started to get ready to leave.

"Here, take a gun each"

"Why do you even have so many? You still have two left" Marjorie laughed slightly at her over-prepared boyfriend, he was always like this

"Siobhan and Vivian, im sure they'll want one"

"Oh, right." Marjorie's smile dropped slowly, Reece had been very out of it recently and it was beginning to scare the woman, she wanted to help him get revenge on Roger more than anything but it was taking a huge toll on his mental health.

Charlotte took a gun and walked straight out of the door. Her face was still tear stained and her eyes always began to water when Mia was mentioned but she forced herself to stay strong.

She wouldn't speak properly to anyone but Marjorie anymore, she was the only one who didn't try to pity her about her girlfriend's death every time they spoke.

The four people crammed themselves into the car, they drove in an uncomfortable silence the entire way.

"We're here, Roger won't be but hold onto your guns just in case." Reece stood up quickly, he leaned against the car, ready to wait for the women but they all met him outside almost immediately.

They figured Char would be the best one to knock for Siobhan, they had always been the closest and Siobhan would probably be happy to see the woman she thought of as her friend for the first time in a few weeks.

Charlotte approached the door, she had her hands in the pockets of her jeans but her fingers were clenched around her gun tightly. She knocked quickly with her free hand but instead of retreating back to her pockets, both her hands instinctively clutched her gun, holding it towards the door. Before she could acknowledge what she had mindlessly done the door was open.

Siobhan answered the door to see the woman she thought was her friend basically pointing a gun in her face while looking mad, with the three people who hated her the most stood behind Char with weapons in their hands.
