When we get to our next class, we don't see Jason. Ruby full on grins and looks really evil, rubbing her hands together. "Finally," she comments. We all roll our eyes, and Aria has the guts to laugh before she receives a frightening glare. Then she only laughs harder, wiping tears away.

The teacher isn't here, only a substitute, and we sit in the middle of the classroom, when suddenly the girls in front of us flip around in their seats, so that they're facing us. It's a parlor trick that we once learned just for fun.

The leftmost girl is Asian, with short black hair and cute purple streaks, the one next to her with brown hair that goes a few inches beyond her shoulder. Then there is a girl with wavy golden hair. Beside her is a black-haired girl, half Asian if I'm seeing things right.

"I'm Atalanta Silvers." Cue Aria's eyes widening slightly as she nods in respect. Rare. But to be honest, I don't know whether I should nod along or not. I'll wait.

"Alex Dathrone," said the brown haired girl next to her.

"Athulya Collins."

"Alex Noxan. But call me Toast."

We don't say anything the whole time, just letting them introduce themselves.

"We're new, obviously, because we got kicked out of our last school. Classic, right? Anyways, nice to meet you guys, you know, as the Elites here." Evelyn tilted her head.

"Oh, yeah, I heard about that nickname. Anything else to say?" Evelyn can be cold sometimes, really cold to some people she doesn't know. I'm a bit different, honestly. I just nod alone when I'm really thinking about how to hack them. The tension is thick enough to be cut with a knife, and Evelyn just made it suffocating. I kind of want to melt in my seat.

"Yes, a lot, actually," continued Athulya, picking off from Atalanta's start. Sarcastic much. "We're the Invisibles, basically SCs that are a different kind of you guys. Who's your hacker? Our's is Alex, the brown haired one."

"Present," I say, "my name's Lilith." The whole atmosphere is awkward, but ever since they mentioned SC, we all are relaxing way more. It was kind of tense before that, though. "And Aria's our best friend type, what about you?"

"Atalanta, but she's not as rich as your's. The best friend types are honestly freaks of nature," said Athulya, rolling her eyes. Everyone nods, except for Atalanta and Aria. Then, both of them perk up, shouting Hey before hand-fiving each other. "Omg, great minds think alike," Atalanta says, and Aria laughs in response. Well, the ice is officially broken. The tension just went poof like it never existed. Might as well take advantage of it.

"Hey, Alex, did you ever try hacking the governments? It was a bit difficult, but it was a bit too easy, you know, like remember Australia's fake trap? I can't believe I almost fell in it!!"

"Yes, yes, yes! You know the firewalls Indonesia put in? Those were harddd," Alex comments. It was true, to be honest. I almost didn't break it. We gave each other a knowing look and I can see the fire in her eyes. Or more like the code in her eyes. "Whose do you think was the hardest?"

"I don't know, I think, here, the USA." I nod, "Yeah, I almost got caught before I could get in. It was funny to find out that Ruby was from Britain, though." Ruby looks over, stopping her conversation with Athulya about being the anti-bullying type that has strong beliefs. "I heard that! You know, I was about to tell you guys!"

"We already knew," says Claire with an eye-roll, basically answering for us.

Atalanta and Aria are still engrossed in their conversation about the Silvers line and the Elite line, comparing their databases, sales, and the collaboration projects between their companies. "You know, I never knew that you were the one behind the Silvers line," Aria says. Atalanta nods rigorously, "Yes, yes, me too, like, I mean though, we never went to the collab meetings."

"School," they say in unison, high-fiving each other.

It's like we have become a super-group, a whole community. I feel like I have known Alex since forever, and we immediately agreed to meet up and try hacking each other's systems. She'll try my Elite Chat app, and I'll try her Invisibles Chat app. I swear, us hacking each other will be so fun. It's kind of funny how uncreative we were with the names. I mean, sure, I love our group with Zoe, Claire, Evelyn, Ruby, and Aria and everything, and they're great at hacking (but not as great as me), but still, it's fun sometimes to talk with someone alike. Someone who knows what it's like when you can type code at unreal speeds, at SC character speeds.

This is so fun.

And we're fine, because our substitute (having one on the first day of school is crazy), who's having technical problems, so she can't even take attendance and we can't even do any of the assignments (surprisingly they are all online). Although I'm pretty sure it's because Alex did something, from the evil smirk on her face when I ask about it. Damn it, I should have thought of that too!

Toast is chatting with Zoe and Claire, talking about something I probably do not want to listen to, and everyone's happy. I mean, that is, until Ruby's eyes zero in on something, or more like, some people, and we hear a familiar cocky voice interrupt.

"You guys have been having fun without me, I'm wounded!"

The one and only Jason Holland has arrived.
