He cussed her out and told her that his friend is innocent. And he told her that she's so stuck up because she's rich. Yet, his friend wasn't innocent, because he made her friend cry. And she wasn't such a stuck up... actually, maybe she was. She felt her mood changing, and desperation clawed inside of her.
"I just wanted to be friends with you! I thought we could be friends, once... You know..." a tear was at the side of her eye, but she didn't wipe it away. She didn't know why she's crying anymore. The boy across from her was quiet for once, and she couldn't help but wonder why he wasn't mocking her.
"DON'T TALK TO ME!" She turned around on her heel, mood flashes rocking up and down inside of her.
The boy suddenly regained his composure, "Yeah! I don't want to, anyways!" He kept going, but she wasn't there to hear it.
She couldn't take it anymore, his droning, and she didn't feel like playing the game of teasing. She hated this dance. It was stupid, and she couldn't even find Ruby or the others.
She didn't feel so much like comforting her crying friend anymore. Why bother when they don't care for you the same way back? She stopped crying, and wiped the tear away.
There was one thing she could do. She put a tired smile on, or tried to, but it twitched and broke down into a sad smile-frown. She honestly sometimes questions where her infinite energy comes from, when she's tired, and how she can keep a smile (one that says this-is-your-last-chance) when people dish it out at her.

"Shut up, nobody's talking to you."
It's fast how people can start to snap at her. She doesn't mean to talk that much, she doesn't know. Why can't they see that? When did their ignoring start turning into something worse?
The other kids laughed, and she just wished that one of her friends, Evelyn, Claire, Lilith, Zoe, Ruby, Aria, someone was there to stand up for her. Because she couldn't. She wanted to shut her ears and run away and just... make it stop. It wasn't the first time, and she knew it wasn't going to be the last.
They don't mean to be cruel, at least that's what she kept telling herself. They did that to other people too... Sometimes. But with her, it's every conversation.
Her nervous energy made her itch for the soft thread of yarn, which she just wanted to wrap around her fingers.
But they took her yarn away, she didn't have her yarn.
She reached for the next best thing, her pencil, and started drawing with an infectious energy.
"Oh, look, she's crazy."
Kids looked, and laughed at what she drew, laughing at her picture before tearing it to shreds.
Claire - 3 yrs ago
There was nobody for her in this class. No Zoe, Evelyn, Aria, Ruby, Lilith. Everyone was already paired up in the class, and she was alone. The teacher gave her a sympathetic smile. This always happened, and the teacher wasn't blind.
"How about this, Claire, do you want to do the project by yourself this time?"
This time?
The teacher said this every time. Just for once, she wished someone would befriend her and say, "Work with us!" But no, all her friends weren't here, so she had to do it all alone.
