Samantha stayed silent while the vehicle was getting far from the house that once was her home. The coat was her last memory. The tears were her expression. Renata hugged her and tried to comfort her, with no words. She couldn't find any.

"He took care of me since I was borned...he was there...", she said at last, crying silently, with a broken voice. "He took me the moment Amelia kicked me off home for being trans. Always supported me all this time...and now...he's gone...how I can keep going when I lost all this night?"

"Luv...", Renata tried to comfort her. Sighed once she knew how hard will be. "Life's a bitch, believe it. But you've got lucky...he loved you, and had such a patience...geez, just thinking how your apathetic butt annoyed him every moment you defied him...and still he was making you coffee at the morning, hugging you, loving you....He indeed was lucky than everyone...taking care of the most beautiful woman in the world I've seen, before I did..."

"You're bad comforting and complimenting, Renata...I love that on you", the black haired girl said a bit calmed. "Thanks, dummy gf"

"You're welcome, grouchy gf", she smiled.

"Could you please...tell me about your family?", Samantha asked.

"The family I barely talk?", Renata replied, a bit nervous.

"The one that deserves you", the girl with glasses noted, making Renata a bit confused.

"Wow, never thought like that..." the bleached hair lady expressed with surprise. "Well...Lorenzo and his wife, Maria Eduarda, I guess. They still are trying to adopt a child. So no little eldritch horror yet. They believe on Virgem Maria. You know, catholic stuff. But way more flexible than my bio mom and dad. They helped me on being the tattoo artist I am. I guess...I guess they're my family after all", she sighed. "Hope they weren't marked or sorta this night..."

Samantha lied her head on Renata's shoulder while she tried to calm herself.

"We should go to the water treatment area", Samantha said, while closing her eyes for a moment. "If the water service stills working, it means the 'cage' the creatures made ends before the building."

"Sounds reasonable. But, how you expect to pass through the wall, if its possible?", Rheagan asked. "Samantha? She passed out..."

"No. Just won't answer you until I have any idea. I'm still mad at you. You know why", the girl with glasses said, without opening her eyes.

the trad goth exhaled while looking outside.

"Won't say 'I'm sorry' for something I clearly don't regret...", the blue haired stated.

"I know, and I won't forgive something I clearly won't", the dark haired said.

"You should thank me.", Rheagan murmured.

"Only when hell and heaven exists", Samantha answered.

Rob looked both girls, and sighed.

"How far is the place?", the wounded boy asked.

"Thirty minutes from here, but can be more. We don't know how many are, or how close...", Mauri said. "Also, as I see the gas count...we have like 20 minutes of road without stop. Maybe 25 if we got lucky.

"There's no luck this day, just to make the tower decision: to survive or not", Rheagan hissed.

Five minutes passed, letting some to rest. Samantha tried to be awake, but she ended up slept. No dreams, just a void. She was awaken almost soon, as Renata started to gently shake her. Once she opened her eyes, Renata loudly said:

"My snoring beauty, you must see this".

"I do not...", Samantha barely said before watching an immense fog close to them. "That's the wall...and it's slightly far from the water treatment area...at least enough to prevent suspicions..."

"Dunno, but I suggest to ram through the fog", the bleached haired girl said quite enthusiastically.

"For fuck sake...of course we're not gonna do that! There are people on the backside, and this is my grandpa's car, therefore, mine. I won't let anyone to use it as a ram for anything. Even for you, my girlfriend!", the girl with glasses yelled while making laugh the tattoed girl.

"It was just an idea...", Renata laughed. "I love to see your usual angry mood, my gf.", she kissed her then, and continued. "So what then? We try to cross the wall?"

"I don't know...we could try to...", Samantha started to say, until she felt Ayaka patting her shoulder.

"Your book says anything of how dense or wide is the wall? i don't wanna ram through a wall or crash in the water thingy..."

"Got a point, Ayaka, lemme see", the black haired girl expressed while opening the book on the haunstmen part. "Thankfully it has this drawing that guides me...so far I have a theroy about how many are hunting us, like seven, but nothing more. It's not written in english..."

"You said seven? So it's only one left?" Mauri shout. "I mean, I rammed one, Val shot one, and Sam's grandpa killed 3, and surely wounded one...and, if he was right. They eat the wounded so...one left."

"It's a supposition. And pretty sure it's not a good idea to face it. Might be one, but my grandpa said we must keep moving until morning. He knew something we might missed", girl with the book said

"So, instead of ending this shit for everyone, once and for all, your idea is to go through that wall and see if we can get out? I don't like that", Mauri complained.

"A minute ago you told Val you want to live, with her, to honor your dad. Now you're telling me you prefer to take a chance just because there might be one remaining?", Samantha replied, angry. "We're not prepared or have anything that can help us to at least survive. Besides, I can only read the numbers because she wrote it like that. See? I don't get the language, just the numbers".

The girl with glasses said while getting close to Mauri. He slowed a bit, and saw it quickly. Got back quickly his eyes to the road.

"Okay, it's not an usual language, but still the wall's closer. How you suppose we can get out of it?", Mauri growled. "Passing through?"

Samantha noded a yes, dubiously.

"I know it's ridiculous, but, we have no option.", she explained.

"We have. But you don't want to hear it...", Mauri complained.

"Fighting something we barely know isn't the best way to end this. You know that.", Samantha expressed while feeling all was getting worse. "Just go through and then we can discuss, in a safer place."

Mauri grunted angrily. And drove straight the mist. Ayaka opened her window and told Val and the ones on the backside to hold unto something, just in case.

They entered the mist without speeding. It was thick, tangible, and cold. Ayaka didn't close at time her window, and the air entered quickly.  Samantha used Hubert's cloak to cover herself and Renata. As they move the car, the freezing air became more and more aggressive, starting to push the car from the sides. All started to be afraid. Leandra and Val made were hugging each other to keep heat, while Rheagan, covered Ayaka with her body. Suddenly, the chaos stopped. The temperature was getting back to normal. They were out of the cage. Few yards away Mauri stopped the car and all get down, to check Leandra and Val.

"We're fine, thank you. It's the last time I complain from hot nights", Leandra said while taking Samantha's jacket. "I know it's from Hubert, but, girl, I'm freezing!"

"You freezing. How about me? You have long jeans, I have a short, please", Val replied. "Anyways, we're ok".

"People, I think we must keep moving.", Renata suggested while pointing with the bat the mist. "the mist is moving to us..."
