She had to call Leandra. She was happy once she heard them.
"So, Ayaka, told you, eh? That girl will someday get me in trouble...", was the artist's words while answering Samantha's phonecall.
"Why you did that?", the girl with glasses asked, while doing her best to be focused.
"Just as Renata's: Felt someone seeing me, I turned with my phone to take a shot to let them know ain't playing that, and then, just saw the forest. Took the photo too, but nothing there. Just trees and branches....", they told while walking at home. "Now, I have that fucking sensation someone is...staring at me. But, as you told me, is not the same as usual."
Samantha jus fixed her black hat while playing with her ear expansions.
"You have any clue of how to...get rid off it?", Leandra asked, quite impatient.
Samantha denied while looking at the window.
"I just have the idea we aren't the only ones...I can ask Rob if he knows something. Or my grandpa...", suggested the glasses girl.
She heard her friend's doubts then.
"Girl, I know your grandparents were quite enthusiastic on...spooky shit, but...is he OK to talk about it? Didn't you grandma lend you her weird book about that?"
"I know, but, what if is just occultism, myths, and my grandma's imagination blended in one book? I...I prefer to talk to Rob...", the girl at the bus answered while leaving in the bus stop, close to a convenience store. "Look, I'm close to Rob, so I'm gonna buy that weird drink he likes, and offer it so he can help me with that. Besides, I want some booze too. Maybe a seltzer or a cubata, if there's any."
"Girl, you just want an excuse to drink...but I guess someone who helps a newspaper's social media, might know something...just...you do you, ok?"
After a short 'yes' and 'bye', Samantha hang out the phone, placed it on her black handbag, and entered the place. Took the beer, and waited on a line to pay. 'I know Rob is quite...hard to handle, but...is he or my grandpa...and he's still...I don't want him to get flustered with this...', she was thinking while waiting in line.
The moment she passed, she knew it'll be a hard moment. An old woman, was there, just waiting for her, but not in a good way.
"Hi, [Deadname] Mason. How can I help you?", the old lady said, trying to affect her emotionally.
Samantha just sighed.
"It's Samantha, Amelia. Could you please remember it?", she replied, while trying not to lose it.
"Could you remember I'm the one who gave you birth?", the woman replied, with an aggressive tone.
"I remember you're the one who kicked me out of home because 'I was possessed for thinking I'm a woman'...and here I am, living as who I am, thanks to grandma and grandpa. Now, please check the beer and let's keep our relation as always: inexistent.", Samantha answered, while seeing Amelia smiling to cover her emotions.
"I'll need your ID to check your over 18, please", she said, intentionally. Once she recevied, she just read it loudly, by 'accident': It says [deadname] and has your sign, could you please show me you're [deadname] by signing here?", pointing a firm device, while smiling.
Trying to not get into her show, she exhaled and waited to receive her ID and the beer. Once she paid, she left without a word.
"Thank you for coming, have a good day, sir", Amelia said while Samantha was leaving.
Once she was far from her sight, she just screamed angrily, using her handbag to cover part of the noise.
"Why, from all the creatures in this world, you brought me to life? You...bitch! Now I have to chill before seeing Rob...I hate that family..."
She then decided to call Renata.
"Renata, I'm not calling you for a date, but I really need your help. Gonna check Rob, but Amelia has a new job as a cashier...got bad luck so...", Samantha asked, in her unusal way.
"You need my love, eh?", she replied.
"I didn't say that! Come on, Renata. I just need your emotional support.", a blushed Samantha replied, nervously.
"I'll be waiting you at the park wanabe area, near the tattoo place, girl. Thinking a new tattoo right now", Renata said, while the phone echoed her movements to getting out.
"Another? But you sent me today pictures of a new tattoo a moment ago", the eyeglasses girl said while amazed, yet the answer she received gave her chills.
"Sam, love, I sent you no pictures today."
