You're too good to me

A/n: I'm making this story as a bit about Lucy's pregnancy and like some different occasions that I think would be super cute and funny. So this is the first one but I will release more!

Lucy had never imagined pregnancy would be like this. Sure, she expected some mood swings and maybe a few odd cravings, but nothing prepared her—or Tim—for the whirlwind of emotions and appetite shifts she was going through. One minute she'd be laughing at some dumb joke he made, and the next, she'd be on the verge of tears because they ran out of pickles. Pickles. Tim was trying his best, but even he was starting to look like a deer caught in headlights whenever she had an emotional outburst.

Tonight was no different. Lucy stood in front of the fridge, staring at the shelves like they might offer some kind of life-changing revelation. Her stomach growled, and she sighed dramatically. She wanted something sweet, but also salty. Maybe sour? But nothing in there seemed right.

Tim walked into the kitchen, immediately sensing her frustration. "You okay?" he asked carefully, already knowing the answer.

Lucy groaned, shutting the fridge door a little too hard. "No. I want... something, but I don't know what it is. It's like my body is craving a unicorn or something. Nothing we have here is good enough."

Tim's lips twitched in amusement, but he quickly masked it. "Unicorns, huh? I'll see what I can do."

She shot him a look, though she couldn't help the slight smile that tugged at her lips. "This isn't funny, Tim. Last week I was crying because we didn't have the right brand of peanut butter. I mean, who even cries over peanut butter?"

"You do," he replied softly, stepping closer and wrapping his arms around her. "But I get it. Your body's working overtime, and it's making you feel all kinds of things. Just tell me what you need, and I'll go get it. You know I will."

Lucy sighed, resting her head on his chest. "I know, and you've been amazing. I just... I feel like I'm losing it half the time. One minute, I'm fine. The next, I'm bawling over a TV commercial about puppies."

Tim chuckled, kissing the top of her head. "Hormones, babe. They're hitting you hard."

"Yeah, well, they suck," she mumbled into his shirt. "I mean, the other day I wanted ice cream with hot sauce. Who does that?"

"You, apparently," he teased, but his voice was warm and understanding.

Lucy pulled back slightly, looking up at him. "How are you dealing with all of this? I know I'm not easy right now."

Tim shook his head, his gaze soft. "You're pregnant, Lucy. That's not 'not easy.' It's amazing. And yeah, the cravings are... interesting, but I'll run out at midnight to get you ice cream with hot sauce if that's what you want."

She rolled her eyes, even though she felt a surge of love for him. "You're too good to me."

"I just want you to be comfortable," he said, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "And if that means stocking the house with every weird combination of food you can think of, then that's what I'll do."

Lucy smiled, her earlier frustration fading. She took a deep breath. "Okay, maybe I'm overreacting about the food."

"Maybe," Tim agreed lightly, "but that's part of it. I'll make a list of whatever you're craving, and we'll stock up. No more fridge meltdowns, okay?"

Lucy sighed, leaning into him again. "Okay. But right now, I think I need something spicy... and chocolate."

Tim's eyebrows shot up. "Spicy and chocolate? At the same time?"

"Yes," she nodded, as if it was the most logical request in the world. "Like those chocolate-covered jalapeños. You know, the ones they sell at that gourmet place?"

He blinked, clearly trying to wrap his head around it. "Chocolate-covered jalapeños?"

"Yep. And hurry, before I change my mind again."

Tim shook his head, grinning as he grabbed his jacket. "I'll be back before you know it."

As he left, Lucy sat on the couch, both amused and slightly bewildered by her own cravings. Pregnancy really was a wild ride, but if anyone could handle her unpredictable moods and strange food combinations, it was Tim. And in that moment, she knew they'd get through this together, one bizarre craving at a time.
