Mike hummed as he looked over at his kids. They were in the living room, going through some DVDs they had. Ashlyn scowled, holding up one of them.
"Really dad? High school musical?" She judged.

Mike shrugged. "What? It's me and your mother'ss guilty pleasure, deal with it."

Logan laughed. "You're both dorks."

"If we're both dorks, what does that make you two? You're our children."

Mike ducked as Ashlyn threw one at him. He laughed. "What are you guys looking for anyways?" He asked, not bothering to hide his amusement.

"Movie, use your eyes." Ashlyn snarked, huffing. "It's just like—80s movies or straight up preschool stuff."

"So?" Mike shrugged. They barely watched those DVD movies anyways—and why would they? They had cable.

Logan sighed. "Um, we sort of were planning something?"

Mike raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And what is this something?"

"Uh..." Logan hesitated. "We were..uh..."

"Oh my god Logan just spit it out. It's not a slur." Ashlyn sighed dramatically, rolling her eyes. "The others wanna have a sleepover in the graveyard. That ok with you?"

Mike couldn't fight the smile that made its way to his face. "Yeah! Yeah, that's great actually. Is that why you two are scavenging for a movie?"

"Yes and—OH ASHLYN I FOUND IT!" Logan held up the movie victoriously. Mike squinted to get a better look at it, then burst out laughing.

"Then Penguins of Madagascar?" He snorted.

Logan blushed in embarrassment, looking away. "We drew straws, and Aidens choice won, ok?"

Mike laughed. "No—no. I'm not making fun of you for it. It just seems so random."

Ashlyn shrugged. "It's Aiden. Expect the unexpected."

"By expecting the unexpected, aren't you actually expecting something?" Logan asked. "Because technically—ACK!"

Logan grumbled as Ashlyn threw a DVD case at her, grumpily taking their copy of Top Gun off his face. Seriously though, that movie was so old now, why did they still have it?

Mike hummed. "If Aiden's choice won, what did you all go with?"

"Edward Scissor hands." Ashlyn shrugged. "Even if it had won, I doubt anyone would have liked it. Apart from Aiden they were all freaked out."

Mike chuckled. Leave it to Ashlyn to pick something like that. Odd as it was though, he had to admit; it was a decent movie. Not the best, but ok. He looked to Logan. "And you?"

"Interstellar, duh."

Mike laughed. Ah...god he loved these two.
