As Wukong flew toward his temple on his cloud, Y/n the Jade Warrior followed with swift, effortless leaps, his armored form cutting through the night air with precision. The rain had lightened up, but the dampness still clung to the earth below. The distant lights of the city flickered as they passed, MK and the others watching from the ground in silent amazement at the sudden shift in events.

Wukong's temple was perched atop Flower Fruit Mountain, a secluded retreat surrounded by clouds and verdant greenery. It had a certain serene charm- ancient stone steps, bamboo groves, and the sound of distant waterfalls creating a peaceful ambiance. Wukong touched down first, letting out a relieved sigh as he stretched, spinning his staff lazily in one hand.

"Home sweet home," Wukong muttered, glancing back at Y/n who landed with a soft, controlled thud. The temple, modest yet grand in its own way, reflected Wukong’s nature, humble on the outside but rich with history.

Y/n stood still, scanning his surroundings. The silence between them felt thick, as if the Jade Warrior was sizing up Wukong’s abode, calculating every possible exit, every corner where danger might lurk.

"Make yourself not comfortable," Wukong said casually, waving toward the temple’s entrance. "It’s not much, but it’ll do."

Y/n’s voice was calm but resolute. "I will stand guard. I do not require comfort."

Wukong shrugged, leading Y/n into the main hall, which was filled with relics from past adventures- old scrolls, ancient artifacts, and a few random treasures strewn about. He sat on a large cushion in the center of the room, leaning back. "Suit yourself, big guy. Just don’t stand too close. Makes it hard to relax, y’know?"

Y/n took up position near the entrance, his glaive resting at his side. His eyes, though unmoving, seemed ever-watchful, always calculating, ready to react at the slightest disturbance.

As Wukong lay back, the quiet of the temple settled around them. But the Monkey King couldn’t help but break the silence with a smirk. "So, Y/n, huh? I guess you’re stuck with us for a while. How long do you plan on keeping this whole ‘secure Wukong’ mission going?"

"As long as necessary," Y/n replied, his tone unwavering. "Until I am certain that you pose no threat to the balance."

Wukong chuckled, closing his eyes. "Well, this is gonna be an interesting arrangement. Just don’t expect me to make it easy for you." He paused, then had a sly grin.

Y/n didn’t respond, but his presence loomed in the room like a silent sentinel.

The night deepened, the sounds of nature mingling with the quiet within the temple. Though there was tension, an odd sense of calm began to settle between the two.

*In The Morning*

Wukong opened his eyes with a lovely sigh as he stretched. "AH!" He yells out, falling off his cushion as he sees Y/n's eyes inches away from his face.

"What the heck Y/n! Why were you just hovering over me like that!?" Wukong yells out, hopping onto his feet as he huffs angrily.

"You were sleeping, making sure it wasn't a trick or clone..... I've never seen you sleep before?" Wukong rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the shock. "Yeah, well, that’s because normally, I sleep without someone standing over me like a statue! I don’t need 24/7 surveillance, big guy." He grumbled, stretching his arms and legs before floating back to his feet.

Y/n, still looming over him, tilted his head. "I see. Sleep is… peculiar. You become vulnerable."

Wukong shook his head, snatching his staff from the side of the cushion. "Not that vulnerable, trust me. But, uh, maybe let me sleep in peace next time, alright?" He started towards the kitchen, mumbling under his breath, "Geez, can’t a monkey get some shut-eye?"
