The following day, the sun peeked through the curtains of Jin’s mansion, casting a warm glow across the kitchen as Mia woke bright and early. Determined to make a great impression on her first full day as Jiwoon’s nanny, she quietly slipped out of bed and headed to the kitchen.Mia had always loved cooking, and this morning was no exception. She rummaged through the fridge, grabbing fresh eggs, some colorful bell peppers, and a handful of spinach. With deft movements, she began whipping up a nutritious breakfast, her mind humming with excitement about the day ahead.
As she sautéed the vegetables, the inviting aroma of breakfast wafted through the house, eventually waking Jin and Jiwoon. Jin stirred first, stretching before sitting up and glancing at the clock. The time read 7:30 AM, and the faint sound of clattering in the kitchen piqued his curiosity.
“Jiwoon, do you smell that?” Jin asked, smiling at his son, who was still bundled up in his blankets.
“Smells good!” Jiwoon replied, his eyes widening as he squirmed out of bed. “I wanna see!”
They both hurried into the kitchen, and as Jin entered, he was met with the sight of Mia diligently cooking. She wore a cheerful apron, her hair tied back in a loose bun, and her focus was solely on the task at hand. The sight warmed Jin’s heart; she looked completely at ease in her new environment.
“Good morning, Jin! Good morning, Jiwoon!” Mia called out, her voice bright and welcoming. “Breakfast will be ready in just a few minutes!”
“Good morning!” Jin replied, his smile growing wider. “What are you making?”
“Scrambled eggs with veggies and toast. I thought I’d add some spinach and bell peppers for a balanced breakfast,” Mia explained, glancing over her shoulder at Jiwoon, who was peering curiously at the stove.
“Yummy!” Jiwoon cheered, bouncing on his toes. “I want eggs!”
Mia turned to him, her expression softening as she noticed his eagerness. “Of course! I’ll make sure you get plenty,” she said, moving to fill a small plate with scrambled eggs and placing it on the table.
Jin watched as Mia continued her preparations, impressed by her nurturing nature. She was dedicated, ensuring Jiwoon had a balanced meal while ignoring her own hunger. It was evident that she genuinely cared for his son’s well-being.
As Mia set the table, she added a colorful array of fruits alongside the eggs. “Jiwoon, do you like strawberries?” she asked, holding up a few bright red berries.
“Yes! I love them!” Jiwoon exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
“Perfect! You’ll have a whole bunch today,” Mia said, smiling as she piled the fruit onto his plate. “Now, let’s make sure you have some veggies, too.”
Jiwoon watched as she added some sautéed spinach and bell peppers to his plate, his face a mix of curiosity and uncertainty. “Do I have to eat those?” he asked, scrunching up his nose.
Mia crouched down to his level, meeting his gaze. “You don’t have to eat them all at once, but how about just trying a little bite? They’ll make you super strong, like a superhero!” she encouraged, her tone playful.
Jiwoon pondered for a moment, clearly weighing his options. “Okay… but just one bite!”
“Deal!” Mia laughed, ruffling his hair before standing up to finish her own plate.
Once everything was ready, they sat down at the table together. Jin felt a rush of gratitude as he observed Mia gently feeding Jiwoon, her focus entirely on making sure he was comfortable. It was a simple act, but it spoke volumes about her commitment to nurturing his son.
