The afternoon sun poured through the kitchen window, casting a warm glow over the room. Jin leaned against the counter, absently stirring a pot of soup simmering on the stove. Jiwoon had finally succumbed to sleep, a peaceful expression on his face as he drifted off to dreamland. Jin felt a sense of tranquility fill the house, the quiet moments a precious gift amid their lively days.Mia had offered to clean up the kitchen after breakfast, but Jin had insisted on handling it himself while she took some time to relax. As he worked, he couldn’t shake the thought of her—the way her laughter danced in the air, how effortlessly she had woven herself into the fabric of their lives. With Jiwoon napping, the atmosphere felt charged, inviting intimacy that had been building between them since their first days together.
Just as Jin was wiping down the last of the dishes, he felt her presence before he saw her. Mia stepped into the kitchen, a soft smile gracing her lips as she caught him in the act.
“Looks like you’ve got this all under control,” she said, her eyes sparkling.
“Just wanted to make sure we had a clean slate when Jiwoon wakes up,” Jin replied, his heart racing a little at the sight of her. She was wearing a simple, soft gray sweater that hugged her curves perfectly, and her hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail, accentuating her delicate features.
“Thank you for that,” Mia said, stepping closer to him. “I really appreciate everything you do.”
Jin felt a warmth spread through him, and without thinking, he reached out, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear. “You deserve it, Mia. You’ve done so much for us.”
Their eyes locked for a moment, and Jin felt the air around them thicken with unspoken desire. He could see the appreciation in her gaze, but beneath that, there was something deeper—something that sparked a longing inside him.
“Jin…” Mia started, her voice trailing off as she looked up at him, her cheeks slightly flushed.
Without saying a word, Jin stepped closer, closing the distance between them. He cupped her face gently in his hands, his thumbs brushing against her cheeks as he leaned in. The moment their lips touched, electricity coursed through him. The kiss was soft at first, a gentle exploration, but quickly deepened as Mia melted against him, responding eagerly.
Jin’s heart raced as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. The world outside faded away, and all that mattered was the connection they shared. He poured his feelings into the kiss, expressing all the emotions that had built up inside him since the moment she entered their lives.
Mia responded in kind, her hands finding their way to his shoulders, fingers digging into his skin as she pressed herself against him. Their kisses became more fervent, filled with passion and urgency.
Suddenly, a sound broke through the haze of their intimacy—the soft creak of the floorboards as Jiwoon shifted in his sleep. They pulled apart, breathless, their foreheads resting against each other as they shared a knowing smile.
“We should be quiet,” Mia whispered, her cheeks still flushed.
“Right,” Jin agreed, his voice low and filled with desire. “But I don’t want to stop.”
Mia bit her lip, her eyes glinting with mischief. “Neither do I.”
A playful grin spread across Jin's face. “Then how about we take this to the sofa?”
“Lead the way,” she said, a playful spark igniting in her eyes.
Jin took her hand, leading her out of the kitchen and into the living room. The soft lighting created a cozy atmosphere, and he could feel the tension between them simmering just below the surface. He settled onto the sofa, pulling Mia down beside him.
