**TW: Suicide, SH* grab your tissues, this will be a sad one.
Charlotte, Reece and Autumn all sped to the bridge. Autumn had to drive; Reece was holding a sobbing Charlotte. Charlotte didn't want to believe Mia had jumped, so she kept texting, praying there would be an answer. Autumn parked and got out, helping Reece and Charlotte out. They ran to the bridge, seeing Mia's phone lighting up with the messages that Charlotte had been sending. They all looked down, seeing the water just fill with red. Autumn and Reece shed a few tears, but Charlotte let out a terrified scream. Autumn and Reece looked her way, seeing her get up and run down to the water bank, trying to fish out Mia's body. Autumn and Reece watched as all hope was ripped out of Charlotte, as she just sat there shaking. Reece picked up Charlotte and put her in the car. Autumn was left staring at the dead body. The dead body of her best friend. Reece then held Autumn. "Do you wanna bring her back? Or do we call the police...?" Reece asked, resting his head on hers. "We need to take her... she wouldn't want any other men touching her." Autumn went over and picked up Mia's body, struggling slightly. Reece quickly took her from his sister. Charlotte was asleep, so Reece placed Mia's body next to her, before getting Autumn and himself in.
Mia was dropped off at the hospital before all three people returned home. Reece left Charlotte with Autumn and Winter, knowing she'd be safe there. Charlotte was curled in a ball on the couch, Autumn and Winter watching her closely. "She's so broken." Winter stated, looking at his wife drinking her wine. "I know, and it's not like she will drink like me, she'll just... implode..." Autumn kept sipping her wine. Winter walked over to her, sitting down beside the brunette. "Char?" Winter tapped her shoulder. Charlotte looked up, tears streaming down her eyes. "We called Reece a few minutes ago, her funeral will be next week." Charlotte simply nodded, going back into a ball. Autumn and Winter helped Charlotte to the guest room before falling asleep.
Autumn was awoken by a noise late at night. She carefully got out of bed to avoid waking her husband. She walked towards the bathroom where the noise had come from. Autumn turned on the light, looked at the ground and screamed so loud, that Winter rushed to the bathroom. "My sweet!? What's wrong!?" Winter looked down and covered his mouth. "Ch-... Charlotte?" Winter rushed to Charlotte, who had blood running down her arms, cuts all over it. Pills were beside her body. Winter checked her breathing, going into a huge state of panic when he couldn't hear breathing. "Autumn! Call a hospital! Now!" Autumn grabbed the closest phone and dialed an ambulance.
Everyone gathered around for the funeral of Mia Roberts. Autumn was still doing her makeup, as police walked around. "Ms Fortune-Knight?" The police officer asked. "Are you going somewhere today?" He walked up to Autumn. "Yes." Autumn simply replied. "Where would that be?" The police officer sat on her bed next to her vanity, where she sat. "Funeral... for my best friend.... and her girlfriend." Winter walked in. "Are you ready my love?" Winter asked. "Yes, my sweet." They drove to the service. Winter and Reece walked over to each other. Winter was hit hard by the death of Charlotte; however, Reece had lost Charlotte and Mia, which would've been 10 times harder. "Hey Reece, how are you holding up?" Winter asked, looking up at the man. "Getting there... still... trying to process... everything." Reece took pauses in between his words, clearly holding back tears. "I know how close the two girls were to you." Reece looked at Winter, before nodding. "Yea, yea we... were... really close." Reece let out a soft sigh. "How's Aut holding up? I know seeing Mia's body, then Char's must've hit her hard." Both men looked at Autumn, who was drinking wine, it would be her 9th glass within the long hours she'd been awake. Ever since she found Charlotte at around 11:30pm, she hadn't been able to sleep. "And Marjorie?" The men then looked over to Marjorie, who was talking to Clodagh and Sorsha, and was holding back tears. "Hours of crying after she found out Char was dead. She'd been working with her for over 10 years... it hit her extra hard knowing why she did it."
Some of the people arrived. Marjorie bent down and opened her arms, two little girls running straight into them. "Hello my loves! How are you two!?" Marjorie kept a bubbly voice, the young girls didn't know that their mother was dead, well, the oldest did, Isla. Her younger sister, Poppy, just assumed that her mother was sleeping. Marjorie continued hugging the girls as she stood up. "Hey Mark, you holding up okay?" Marjorie asked Charlotte's ex-husband. "Yea, I'm just... so sad to see my best friend go. I felt so bad when I got the news her girlfriend jumped, but then for her to overdose? I couldn't tell her." Mark picked up Poppy. "They lost their mother... I'll never understand how Isla is so strong through all of this?" Both adults looked at Isla, who ran over to her uncle Reece as he picked her up. Poppy wriggled out and ran over to Autumn. "At least their together, it's all Char would've ever wanted." Marjorie kept talking to Mark, until the service started.
While the service was going on, Mia was stood at the back, watching as Autumn and Reece stare at her dead body. "I shouldn't have done it." She whispered, as two hands slithered around her from behind. "You were hurting Amelia, you didn't know what else to do." Charlotte rested her head on Mia's shoulder. "So, if it isn't the amazing Charlotte." A man appeared behind the couple. "Who are you?" Charlotte asked, holding her girlfriends' hand. "I'm Marjorie's dad, I believe there's a few other people excited to meet you. You should see Autumn's little boy. He looks just like his mother." Marjorie's dad reached out his hand and the couple looked at their friends one last time, before grabbing it, and walked towards the gates. Charlotte sprinted to her girls; their beautiful dresses were done perfectly. She kissed them both on the head as she ran back, all three adults entering heaven. "There he is!" Mia grabbed her nephew, holding him close. "Exactly like his mother."
Isla walked up; she was the last. She wanted to go alone so she could do what she needed to do without letting Poppy know that this was the last time she would ever see her mother's body. Isla kissed her Charlotte's head and placed a bracelet around her wrist, doing the same to Mia's corpse, as they were gonna be buried together. The bracelet's had all the initials of their little family, expect they all had 'R' on the end. Isla had already given one to Poppy and slipped hers on. Isla placed down adoption papers on Mia's cheat before she waved goodbye as she whispered the words to the two bodies.
"Goodbye mama... goodbye mummy."
So like, as I writing the last few paragraphs, I actually started crying. So I don't blame you if you cry.
