Chapter three

I have them set up a drill to run and set them on their way. I can't believe how good they have gotten, in my time with them. That drill should take all day even if it's done correctly. I head over to Embers and she meets me at the door.
"Another hard day of training again?"
"You...could say that..."
"Is something wrong?"
I grab her hand and place it over my heart.
"Jade?"
I snap out of my thoughts and smile at her before I tell her the news about my group. She invites me in and we sit and chat for a couple of hours.
"Yea...I tell you what...Micheal really is something else."
"He reminds me of you Jade."
"No kidding...that's why he's my favorite."
I get up and head over to the corner of her room and put in a CD that I hade Jinx make me. It starts playing a slow melody and I turn and smile at her as I let out my hand.
"May I have this dance?"
"Since when can you dance?" She says placing her hand in mine as I lead her to me. I put my arm around her waist and we dance back and forth. She lays her head on my chest as we start doing circles. I spin her around and catch her in my arms. The song stops playing and I lift her back up.
"I'm impressed Jade...how did you..."
"It's...something I used to do growing up ya know...we...needed money so I...got a job as a dance partner for a short time..."
"I think you were great." She says grabing both of my hands. I stare into her eyes and pull her in closer to me as I kiss her. She wraps her arms around my kneck and we get forehead to forehead with each other.
"Ember...I really do love you."
"Well I love you to silly."
I close my eyes not knowing how to say what I mean. I love her. I would risk it all if it meant saving her. I grab her waist and pick her up into the air and spin.
"Jade I want you to promise that you won't pull nothing stupid like Linix did...if...if you...died...I don't know what I'd do."
"It's ok Em...only reason I'd die was if you ever left me." I say smiling. She hugs me before I leave. I look over to see Jinx looking through a pile of scrap metal.
"Well...lets see what he's up to already."
