I finish packing my bags and head out. Candridge...I remember my first visit there. It was Lin and I. We were in need of shelter from the storm outside. We had Ellex stay back under a tree to keep out if the rain. As we walked through the streets of Candridge we got all sorts of glances and stares. Eventually they faded and we became invisible to their world. We see a smaller guy standing by a building. We walk over to him and I attempted to get his attention. He simply turned around and walked off. Both Lin and I were shivering in the cold rain. We stop under a lightpole and sit.
"Why won't anyone help us."I say shivering to Linix.
"I...don't know..."
I hear footsteps behind me and I turn to see Ellex. I frown at her as I turn back towards the road.
"Have a seat sis." Lin says to her. He takes off his jacket and lays it across her shoulders. She was sick and did not need to be in the rain. We see someone walk over to us. A grey fox who seemed to be older then us.
"You three don't need to be out in this weather. Why don't you all head on home. "
I look up at him.
"We...don't have a home." I say muffled. Ellex sneezes and she apologizes to the man like it was her fualt.
"Don't have a home eh? Well you three are more then welcome to stay here with me as long as ya need to." He says jutting his thumb towards a building behind him. We all three thank him as we run inside. We dry off by his fireplace before he hands us dry clothes to wear. He said that his name was Gavin. We didn't say much that night but we all was thinking the same thing...we have a home...it may be temporary, but a homes a home.
We wind up staying there for a couple of years. Thats when we decided to join the freedom fighters. It was my idea and Ellex was all for it...Lin on the other hand wasn't so enthused about it. We all three joined up and were stationed at Honeymoon. As we leave we say are goodbyes and he tells us three that we will always have a home here in Candridge. That was five years ago. I smile at the thought of seeing Gavin again. Would he even recognize me if I did see him.
"Jade...are you even listening to me?"
I snap back to the real world to see Shadow staring st me.
"Sorry...I was just thinking."
"It's fine. So when we get to Candridge lets split up. We will search for Silver while you grt the two you need. Got it?"
"Yea I got it. Keep in contact with each other." I say pointing to the watches Jinx made for us. As we reach Candridge we split ways. Still to this day nothing has changed. Only difference is now I'm not invisible. I get looks of disgust and hatred as they see the sign of a yellow moon on my drape. An indication that I was a freedom fighter. I stumble around the town just listening to people to see if I could catch anything that would lead me to Echo or Sirus. I come across a old building and I feel my heart rate increase as I see its my old home. I knock on the door and an old fox opens the door.
"Gavin..."
He steps back before grabbing my shoulders.
"Jade...Jade is that really you! Oh this is great! Come on in, please."
I step inside and shut the door.
