Chapter seventeen

Blaze runs over to Silver and I snap back to reality. I run over to him and we manage to wake him up.
"Blaze apply pressure to his wound! Hold on Silver."
Blaze's white gloves turn red instantly and we both know we can't save him.
"Blaze..." Silver groans as he says her name.
"Yes Silver..."
"You...probably hate me now..."
"What, why would I hate you..."
"For...all of this..."
She shakes her head at him.
"Are...you still my freind?"
A tear streakes her face...this was the first time I've ever seen her cry.
"You're still so naive...I don't consider you a freind Silver..."
"Oh....I..."
"I don't hate you either...Silver I.
..love you."
His eyes light up.
"You..."
His head starts falling to the ground and I grab Blaze on the arm.
"We're about to lose him...say what you need to fast."
She looks down at Silver who is still in shock about Blaze's confession. She leans in and kisses him. He closes his eyes and she raises back up. As she does Silver stops moving.
"He's gone...Blaze.."
I stand up and she remains seated. I run over to help Echo and Sirus remove the tree off of Shadows leg. As Sirus and I lift up on the tree Echo pulls Shadow out from under the tree.
"Can you walk?"
"I can manage."
I walk over to my blade and pick it up. Its still coverd in blood from Silver. I try to use my communicater but its disabled. I see that Shadow can't get his to work as well.
"Blaze is your comminicater working?" She taps on hers for a few seconds before shaking her head no. Could he already be at Honeymoon?
"Shadow we need to leave...now!"
"By the time we reach camp he will have already destroyed everything!"
"We can't just sit here and do nothing!"
I hear what sounds like a million bees kept inside of a jar. I notice Shadow hears it to and we both turn towards the road. We see a cloud of dust rushing towards us at Incredible speed. We ready ourselves for a fight as the thing slides to a stop. After the dust settles I see what looks like a bike. The person riding it takes off a black helmet and shakes the hair out of his face.
"Jinx?"
He turns around and I see his face is burnt and he has a look of worry on his face.
"Jade...Zero attacked...I lost contact with Ellex but I came to get you."
"Alright...Shadow you and Blaze can teleport back right?"
"Yea."
"Echo..."
"It's ok Emerald boy...I can fly Sirus and myself there."
I look back and I see Jinx looking at my locket.
"Jinx...is something else wrong..."
"Jade...he's after Ember..."
My heart drops and I feel my body fill with rage.
"Lets go..."
I hop onto the bike and we begin racing back to Honeymoon. What does he want with Ember? I look behind us and I see Echo flying behind us. She grins at me before flicking her goggles down over her eyes and begins flying adjacent to us. So the four of them will reach camp first...good...
"Hey you ok back there?"
"Yea im fine...can't this thing go any faster?"
"This is as fast as it goes Jade...don't worry Ellex is with Ember."
"If he touches her Jinx...I will tear him to shreds..."
"Woah...Jade that's a new attitude..."
"Sorry...but I've already lost one freind and ill be damned if I loose another."
"Remind me not to get on your bad side geez. I feel you though...it's one thing to attack our home but to mess with our friends..."
"We'll get em Jinx don't worry."
"Yea...I know." As Honeymoon becomes visible on the horizon I tense up. Please don't let us be late.
