Today the universe has brought us GUAI (Determination), so many times we go through life looking for problems. Our attitude is that if something can go wrong it will go wrong. Inevitably we end up finding exactly what we were looking for.
If we walk through life looking for problems - all we will find is problems. But if we shift our focus, begin to look for opportunities instead, then what we find changes as well.
There is a story about a shoe company that sent two sales agents to Africa to scout out locations for a new sales office. The company was looking to expand its market. The salesmen left and traveled to Africa and began their evaluation of the market - each did so independently of the other. After about a month the company received the reports from each sales agent.
The report from the first sales agent read:
No potential for business in this country - they don't wear shoes.
The report from the second sales agent read:
Great potential for business in this country - they have no shoes!
It is all a matter of perspective, if you look for a problem you will find one, if you look for an opportunity you will find that as well.
What are you looking for as you travel your road? You are certainly going to find it, the question is - Is it really what you wish to find?
Start looking at life for opportunities instead of problems and see how new vistas will open before you.
