Da Zhuang (Great Power)

When you are steadfast in your power, you can not be thrown from your center.

Today's message comes on the heels of Jian, Obstruction.  Yesterday, we talked about things in our way preventing us from moving forward.  Today we are going to talk about power.

The universe comes to us with the message that we have the power within us.  Just like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.  After Glinda finished dropping down in her pink soap bubble she says to Dorothy "You don't need to be helped any longer, you've always had the power..."

We have the power within us and the message today confirms it.  It is time to recognize  and harness our inner strength.  Da Zhuang tells us that with the power that lives within us, once we set ourselves in place, nothing in the world can move us. Although Da Zhaung addresses power, it also cautions restraint to prevent reckless use of that power.  We are to be aware of when to act and when to hold back.

But Da Zhaung is not finished, its messages are manifold and we have just touched the surface.  "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility."  Uncle Ben says these word to Peter Parker as one of the last lessons he teaches him before his death. The universe admonishes us to internalize this teaching.  If we find ourselves in a position of power, we must do our best to act with honor and responsibilty towards those over whom we exercise that power.

Finally Da Zhaung suggests to us that we have the power to overcome the obstacles we face if we approach them with wisdom and strategy.

The Changing Lines

Line 1

Power in the toes - This parable speaks about the feet which are our primary means of motion.  Before horse, car, or any other form of conveyance, our feet got us from place to place.

Line 1 warns us to move only when the time is right, to avoid jumping the gun.  It tells us to take the time and build up our strength so that when we move we will be successful.

The message is one of self control, knowing when to move and when to stand firm.  If you are contemplating a task or a project, maybe now is the time to hold still and build up your power.  To avoid moving prematurely until you know you have the strength to complete the task at hand.

Thank you for reading today and as always I hope that something you have read here helps you on the path of life as we continue to walk together as friends.
