Before you could even really think about what's next, his lips are already on yours, but not in a too passionate way. He wants you badly and you can feel it, but he still isn't rushing anything. He's caressing your back and still refuses to let you use your tongue, knowing that he has to give you the space to be able to pull back any second if it turns out that you do change your mind about him.
When he leans away, he goes right back to your neck, smelling your skin while still caressing your back.
"You smell so good." He whispers against your skin, ready to pull you into his lap and touch you everywhere, but he needs you to tell him that it's alright and he can do what he wants.. But instead of talking, you work your way into his lap, sitting sideways and looking up at his face. "You sure that's a good idea?" He smirks, gently kissing your temple.
"What could go wrong?" She smiles at him. "Maybe you won't like my body, but that's about all.."
"I don't think you're reading the situation right, love." He smiles. "The only thing you're doing is getting me worked up." He whispers to her. "We're not even remotely close to having sex." He rolls his eyes at her playfully.
"Even you have a point where you lose control and can't say no."
"You'd be surprised how much self-control I have." He smiles, resting his hand on her thigh.
"And you'd be surprised how much better you would feel if you let me closer than an arms lenght." She leans closer.
"Right. This is not about sex anymore I'm guessing.." She chuckles, kissing his cheek.
"You're complicated, Ghost. I like it." One of her hands come up to his neck, then his jawline and when it stops, her thumb starts caressing his cheek.
"I thought you saw right through me." He stands up, holding her in bridal-style before putting her down gently. "Do you think you could get some more info out of him?"
"That's a pretty boring way to divert this topic, isn't it?" She smiles. "This party is basically all about the drug business, so there will be discussion and whatever's happening right now with him and whatever he's talking about, the higher-ups are listening to it real-time. Our job is pretty much done, Ghost."
"Right. I guess you're smarter than I thought."
"Shut up.." She sighs, sitting back on the bed.
"I'd just rather talk about anything else than what you want me to talk about, love. I know you wanna know so many things about me, but you know too well how I am.." He gently grabs her chin, making her look up at his eyes. "My whole life, I was used to no emotions with anyone. I can't just go from casual hookups to 'falling in love', y/n.."
"I'm not asking you to. You know everything about my childhood, all my traumas, my secrets, everything, so why is it so hard to just talk about it?"
"You chose to tell me those things, I didn't beg you to. And I choose not to talk about it, live with it." She just sighs, standing up and going to the door.
"I'll just go back to the car. I've had enough for today.." She leaves, walking down the stairs and to the elevator to go down to the parking lot and sit in the car. The driver doesn't say a single thing as they wait for Ghost to finish up whatever he still wants to do at the party.
In a couple minutes, he finally arrives and sits next to her, also just as quiet as the driver as they get going. At this point, all this silence is making you go crazy. It feels like Ghost is hating you again, like the chauffeur is judguing you as he looks into the mirror to look back. But then, Ghost puts hins hand on your thigh and you forget what even happened.
"Come here.." He whispers, gently pulling you closer by your thigh. He doesn't have to say it a second time, your body already moves to press against his side.
