The love we give away is the only love we keep. — Elbert Hubbard

POV: Priscilla 💕

The early morning light gently filtered through the curtains of their master bedroom, casting a soft glow over the room. Priscilla and John lay side by side, their newborn daughter, Zoe, nestled peacefully in her crib. The quiet was a welcome change from the whirlwind of the past few months.

Priscilla stirred, her gaze falling on John, who was already awake, his eyes filled with a mixture of love and fatigue. "Good morning," she whispered, her voice barely more than a breath.

John smiled, leaning over to press a tender kiss to her forehead. "Good morning, love. How are you feeling today?"

Priscilla sighed contentedly, feeling a sense of calm settle over her. "I’m tired but happy. It’s amazing to think about how much has changed."

They lay in comfortable silence for a moment, savoring the peace that had settled over them. John shifted slightly, propping himself up on one elbow. "Do you remember when we first started talking about having a family? It felt like such a distant dream."

Priscilla chuckled softly, her hand reaching out to grasp his. "I do. It seemed like such a huge leap. But here we are, with our beautiful baby girl. It’s surreal."

John nodded, his gaze fixed on Zoe as she stirred slightly in her crib. "You’ve been incredible through all of this. Balancing your business, handling everything with Zoe… it’s impressive."

Priscilla smiled, her eyes bright with gratitude. "I couldn’t have done it without you. Your support has been everything. From late-night diaper changes to balancing our careers, we’ve managed to navigate it all together."

John’s expression softened as he took her hand in his. "It hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve faced every challenge head-on. Our love has carried us through."

As they talked, their conversation meandered through their shared memories and future plans. They discussed their goals, both personal and professional. Priscilla spoke about her aspirations for expanding her business and how she hoped to find new ways to integrate her work with her family life. John, in turn, shared his excitement about upcoming projects and his vision for their future together.

"We should start planning our next adventure," John suggested with a grin. "Maybe a family vacation once Zoe’s a bit older. It’d be nice to have a change of scenery."

Priscilla laughed softly, nodding in agreement. "That sounds wonderful. We’ve talked about so many things—traveling, growing our family, exploring new opportunities. It’s exciting to think about what’s next."

They spent the next hour discussing their dreams, interspersed with moments of affectionate banter. They talked about the importance of maintaining their relationship while pursuing their individual goals, laughing at the little quirks that made their life together uniquely theirs.

As the day wore on, they found themselves lost in their shared vision of the future. They talked about their plans to continue supporting each other’s ambitions while finding joy in their everyday life. Their conversation was a mix of practical planning and whimsical ideas, reflecting their ability to balance love, family, and career with humor and resilience.

By the time Zoe woke for her next feeding, Priscilla and John were both filled with a renewed sense of purpose. They knew that the road ahead would continue to bring its own set of challenges, but they faced it with confidence and optimism. Their shared experiences had strengthened their bond, and they were ready to embrace whatever the future held.

As John gently lifted Zoe from her crib, Priscilla watched him with a heart full of love. "We’ve come so far, and we’ve built something beautiful together," she said softly.

John looked at her with a smile, his eyes reflecting the deep affection he felt. "Yes, we have. And we’ll keep building, growing, and supporting each other every step of the way."

They took a moment to savor the simple joy of their family, the quiet contentment that came from knowing they had built a life filled with love and shared dreams. With a final, lingering kiss, they embraced the future together, ready to face it with the same strength, humor, and resilience that had guided them through their journey.
