Ominis looked out across the lake at the water, the glistening ripples from the wind caught his eye for the first time. 'Is that what blue is?'

He couldn't focus on one thing for too long before looking elsewhere, it was all so overwhelming. He finally saw the different shades of green weaving through the meadows on the hills and the wood grain pattern on the fencing nearby.

He turned to her. His eyebrows raised, revealing his gorgeous dark blue eyes.

He took her in for the first time all over again. She was absolutely stunning. She was slender with curves in all the right places. Her hair billowed around her in the sea breeze. Her emerald green dress fluttered in the same wind, showing off the smooth skin of her legs.

He parted his lips. "MC...? Please tell me that's you." He began to slowly approach her as if she was a frightened deer.

She smiled softly. "It's me, Ominis."

His vision blurred with tears. He always hated crying, but now he hated it even more because it limited his vision again.

He took her hands and looked her up and down for the first time. "You're-you're so beautiful. So much more beautiful than I could have possibly imagined!"

He began to bring a hand up to her face to caress her cheek, but he hesitated.

She nodded at him and he touched her. She felt different now that he could see her. He took in every last feature of her face, memorizing it in case he lost his sight again.

"What was that you gave me?" he asked without removing his hand from her.

"God willing, a cure for your blindness." She leaned into his touch, closing her eyes.

She was disappointed when he pulled his hand away. "A what?"

She stiffened. She could never tell what direction his mood would take when he was in disbelief like this. She was worried she had angered him somehow. "Uhm, I brewed a cure for blindness, Ominis. I'm still not 100% sure of its duration, but I had to try my hand at it. That's what I've been doing all week after class."

"You've been experimenting with a cure for my blindness? And you found it within a week?"

"Well-" she rubbed the back of her neck. "I'm fairly certain that my ancient magic was the secret ingredient in it all, otherwise it would have already been invented by the Pippins. Or Garreth with outlandish side effects."

They both chuckled. "Merlin, MC. Your smile." He brushed her bottom lip with his thumb. "You mean to tell me this was before me this whole time?"

She blushed realizing that this moment was all she truly wanted. She only wanted to see him happy, so see him thrive. If she were to die right now with this as her last memory, she would be alright with that.

He pulled her into a tight embrace against his chest. She noticed his heart was about to beat right out of it.

"Thank you, sweetheart. I will never be able to repay you for this, even if it is temporary. But I do have an offering."

The wind picked up a bit as he took out a small navy blue box with one hand and held her hand in the other.

"MC, I've thought of a million different ways I was going to do this, but now I haven't the foggiest as to how I should go about it. But what I do know is how much I love you and how happy you make me. You saved wizardkind, you melted the ice of my heart, you cured my blindness, for Merlin's sake! You're positively marvelous at everything you do. And don't get me started on your immense beauty, we'd be here all day."
