"I told you this was a good idea" I smiled and nodded at Selen's words while checking my phone for messages or a call from Morgan.
I didn't see any notifications so i put my cell down.

" You're right. It is so refreshing here"
I was at home when I received a message from Selen that she was on her way home from work so I should pack some clothes for the pool.
I thought to just rest at home but I'm glad I took Selen up on the offer .

"I know. I found this place sometime back when you were attending the funeral"

" Found it? Without Brad?"

" We had kind of a spat that day"

I straightened up in my lounge chair and turned to Selen
" Spat? You guys okay?"

" Oh, we fine . Just some random shit "

" Care to elaborate ?"

Selen took a sip of her lemonade juice and looked away.
" Nuh uh"

I narrowed my eyes at her .
" Don't hurt Brad"

" Let's talk you and Morgan. What is up with you both. I see you checking your phone every few minutes "

"Way to turn the tables on me"

"Sorry . It's just funny how you keep doing so considering you guys spoke on the phone yesterday after he left "

" No , we didn't "

" You did. I heard you in your room last night . Not clearly but you were not being so quiet. I could tell you were talking to someone "
My eyes went wide for a minute after I realized if I didn't try to retract my words , Selen would find out it was Allen I was speaking to last night .
She realized I wasn't speaking and poked my arm with a finger .
" What?"

" Well?"

" It was Morgan , yes. Silly me "
I chuckled

I noticed Selen smile and she adjusted her hat , her smile getting wider .
" Whats with the creepy expression?"

" You were talking with Allen, weren't you?"
." Nuh uh"

" Of course I believe you "

" Don't tell Morgan "

" Fine but what are you doing talking to your ex ?"

" He called me "

" Why?"

" I really can't quite put a finger on everything yet but it was pretty much of a casual conversation yesterday "

" With all that laughter going on in there? Girl, that's hard to believe but why not?"
I rolled my eyes and bit my mouth slightly to stop myself from smiling . I knew Selen was still staring but I ignored her .
I looked to my phone and noticed Morgan hadnt texted . I decided to send him a quick text .

" There is one problem though " I spoke up as I sent him the quick text .

" What?"

" I and Morgan are not okay"
