Are you still mad at me ?" Allen teased ,brushing his fingers slightly against mine. We had dressed in a hurry after what went down in the conference and we were now on the shore of the beach. I rolled my eyes at his comment.
We were walking along the shore of the beach and my hair was flying in all directions . He brushed his hair with his fingers and I smiled at his pretty hair . He held my hands tightly as we walked ." I have to spend some time with Megan today . I kinda miss her "
" Well let me steal you for just today . Why don't we go surfing? "
" Allen, for the love of everything I don't know how to surf "
He laughed at me and I smiled" So what do you suggest?" , amusement in his voice
" Let's...um" I looked around and then spotted blankets on the sandbeach .
" Why don't we just get a tan here ?"He didn't respond for a bit and I took that as he not in favour of the idea. It was probably a fear of people we knew seeing us together.
"You know what , nevermind"
" Hey, I don't mind if that's what you want"
" Nah, it's fine and surfing doesn't sound so bad now . Let's get a boat and sail a bit . You know your way around the sails, right ?"
" Yes , actually . My dad taught me" he responded.
" Cool" I peered to see many available boats . I was going to suggest one when the phone rang.
Both I and Allen looked on the screen of my phone and he shifted uncomfortably when he saw the name . It was Morgan
" I ..uh gotta take this "" Why not ?" He said, evidently pained and walked away from me.
I sighed as I stared at his retreating back.
How was i going to work my way around this ?
I picked the call and walked away from the shore to the hotel.
" Hello" Morgan's voice sounded from the other end." Hi, Morgan. How are you"
" I'm good , babe . Where are you"
" Um..at the hotel . You?"
" Home . I didn't go to work. You alone ?"
"Of course "
