Moving On

65 Selen's POV

I looked at Sky briefly and grabbed my bag before I left the kitchen. She sipped her tea , not really caring . She told me about how Allen and her were definitely not going to see each other again and I honestly did not see why she cared. He was her past for crying out loud . I loved Sky a lot and I knew she loved Allen. The best I could do was to support her but she couldn't make things right like this . Morgan was now in the picture whether she liked it or not . I just hoped she would wisen up .
If she ended up with Allen I would be happy for her . But not when she had left another guy groveling and desperate for her . Morgan had nothing to hide , I'm sure. He was a good guy.
When I got to work, I turned the sign of my shop to 'OPEN'
I had been frequenting the pawn shop because I didn't want it being neglected. I was mostly at the floral shop and work was booming . The pawn shop should have my attention too. I greeted my staff and got in to work .

I lifted my head to see the door to the store open minutes after work had started.
I smiled when a lady walk in.
" Hi, I'm Selen. How can I help you?"

" Nice to meet you Selen. I'm Prix . I would like to pawn something "

" Ohkay, what is it ?Can I see "

She showed me a locket .
" My boyfriend gave it to me . Ex actually . He's focusing elsewhere right now so "

"Sad "
I said and took it from her to examine it .
I looked at her briefly as I examined it. I liked her style. She was casually dressed but yet still pretty . She didn't seem like the type to try too much to look good .

" I can work my way around it for you"

" Thanks but I tend to be busy and so can you communicate with me later? Probably I can leave my contact"

" No problem" I said and waited as she got a pen and paper out of her bag.

She wrote it down on paper and passed it over the table to me.

" It's not everyday you see a woman at a pawn shop" She said , seemingly impressed.

" I know" i chuckled. "I'll call you , Prix. Have a nice day "

" You too" she said and walked out .

That evening at home , i and Sky were still not really talking and she went out in the evening . I realized she already had a driver's permit now and had bought a new car . On a normal day, i would have been all giddy with excitement but not today. I decided to call Prix to meet up with her . Brad was at work so I was alone . It was weird considering I just met her but what gives . I called her and apparently , she was around the apartment on her way for a party so I went out to meet her.
