Ever since Jake gave me a lift that day, we've been sort of inseparable. Platonically.
We had exchanged numbers and had been talking every day. I was usually really reserved when it came to talking to males.
But after talking to Jake, I realised that all my life, I had been talking to boys, not men. Jake was the first 'man' I had talked to.
Jake somehow made it so much easier for me to trust him. He just had that warm and comforting nature that is not quite there in males anymore.
I felt safe and nice after talking to him. And the fact that I could talk to him about literally anything says a lot about the kind of person he is.
I could literally be unhinged and telling him that I was constipated and he would be laughing his ass off before telling me to drink lots of water. That was how close we had become in the span of these few weeks.
I appreciated him, and I know he appreciates me too.
