I was sitting on the chair when I heard a soft knock or the door.
"Hello?" a sad voice said. I jumped up recognizing it immediately.
"Rory?" I say, my voice dry and croaky.
"You've never called that before." she says opening the door and smiling weakily.
"You okay love?" I start, " I mean of course your not I mean you nearly died, but I can tell you've been crying so you okay?"
She shakes her head and I walk up to her and wrap my arms around her. She looks up at me. After a while she says
"Newt, how do I know if I like someone?" she asks.
"Well you can't stop thinking about them, you feel strange when they're around, they make you happy and you want to--w-why are you looking at me like that?"
"Your an idiot." She chuckles and wraps her arms around my neck and kissed me softly, "my idiot."
I wrap my arms around her waist and kiss her back.

The news of Aurora's awakening spread like wildfire and we didn't get much peace. It felt like every five minutes people came to ask how she was. Apart from Vivian.
"What's up with you and Vivian?" I ask.
"Oh well when I awoke I I said something which offended her."
"What did you say?"
"I asked for you. I didn't even thank her for saving me a-and then she said that Gally was right and she shouldn't have saved me." she starts to cry, " I'm a horrible friend."
"You asked for me?"
She laughs.
"That's the part you focus on?"
It felt good making her laugh but not as good as the way she looked at me now.
" youre a great friend to her. She just doesn't know it yet."
She smiles, but her eyes didn't match.
"Anyway love it's getting late." I begin, " we should get some sleep."
"Yeah your right."
She walks of into her room and I go into mine.
It's much colder tonight than usual maybe it's winter? I don't think we get seasons in the glade but oh well.
"Newt?" I voice interrupts my thoughts.
"Yes love?"
"It's um cold."
"Do you wanna join me?" I say patting the other side of the bed. She nods and slips in next to me getting comfortable in my arms.
"Goodnight love, sweet dreams." I whisper.
"You too, goodnight Newt." she replies before yawning and slowly falling asleep. And after a while I do too.
