TWO LOVES ONE MAZE •|Maze Runner Love Story|•

~Act 6: Aurora's POV~

That night I dreamed about the flare again.
It was an infectious brain disease cause the the sun. There were some immunes too, and they were testing us in the maze to see if we are. It meant that in the future we won't die because of it.
We were trapped in here, taken from our families and our lives and-

I sat up and started to hyperventilate again.
Why did I have another dream? I thought to myself.
"You alright love?" Newt mumbles, I must have woken him up.
"Oh nothing don't worry, go back to sleep." I say.
"No what's wrong?" he says, more awake this time.
I groan and get up.
"What time is it?" I ask
"Dunno," he says," is the sun up?"
I nod and walk out the door and I see

Vivian already awake talking to Minho.
She looks very upset about something.
And then she kisses him? Since when?

I walk out to Thomas who was talking to a small boy called chuck.
Chuck notices me and wave me over.
"Hey chuck."
"Hey Rory. You feelin better?" he ask.
"I guess." I lied. Of course I didn't feel better at all. I didn't want anyone to worry though, they're busy enough as it is without needing to worry.

"Thomas I don't think I want to be a runner anymore. I mean my memory is Terrible so I won't really help much and I just think I need a break. Is that ok? Cause like if you do need me I will still run of course but like I just don't feel very good at the moment." I blurt out.

"No of course Rory it's okay. You don't have to for the moment," he says, "you can be a track-hoe with Newt." he winks.
"It was a trial anyway it's not like that was my actual job-." I continue.
"Yeah yeah, Rory it's alright." Thomas cuts me off. I smile at him before walking off.

I start to walk over to Vivian and Minho but then I remember she's mad at me. Instead I go to the wall of the maze, where I first ran to, and crouch down putting my head in my knees.

"R-rory" a small voice says.
"Go away." I say, not in the mood to talk.
"No, i-i need to apologize." they say.
I look up to see Vivian. Her eyes are all red an watery. Had she been crying?
"Vivi are you okay?" I ask.
"No. I'm so sorry I shouted at you. I was just so happy you didn't die but you didn't even thank me you just-"
"No I'm sorry, i should've thanked you before asking about Newt. I mean your my best friend."
She smiles wiping the tears from her eyes.
She sits down next to me and puts her arm around my shoulder hugging me tight. I rest my head in her shoulder and ask,

"So you and Minho huh? "
"Yeah bet ya didn't see that on coming"she says
"How long have you been together? " I ask.
"A few days."
"Awh that's great!" I exclaim, " I wish you'd told me though."
"Girl, you were passed out." she chuckles her iconic chuckle.

Just then I saw next walking out of his hut looking for something or someone. He walks over to Thomas who points to where I am and Newt walks over.

"Aurora are you feeling better? Ah Vivian I see you guys made up." he says.
"I'm fine Newt, don't worry." I say.
"You woke up and started hyperventilating." he continues.
"Look Newt she's kinda busy right now, we're having a catch up." Vivian interrupts.
"Alright, tell me later then, I love you." he says bending down to kiss me on the forehead. I felt my stomach lurch and my cheeks blush.
"Love you too." I say back. And after a bit he walks off.

"Something your not telling me?" Vivian asks, raising her eyebrow in a funny way. Then we both burst out laughing.

"Well when I ran out the med hut I went to his hut. And he noticed I had been crying so he hugged me to make me feel better and then we kissed." I say once I stopped laughing.
"And.."
"What do you mean and?"
" 'you woke up and started hyperventilating' . Aurora how did he know.." she smirks.
"I think you already know." I say to her, trying to be expressionless but failing miserably as a smile creeps up on my face.

"Awh you guys are so cute." she says, " Nerora for life!"
"Yeah well so are you and Minho, um.. Vinho, wait no that doesn't sound right mivian? I don't know. To be honest I kinda see you and Gally, your always flirting with him." I say.
"What. I hate him. "
"Yeah right. "
"No seriously I do. "
"Okay okay I belive you." I say," but I still see it."
she groans and whacks me on the head softly.
"Vivian and Gally, hm vally? Givian?" I mutter.
"You are insufferable." Vivian says.
"I know." I say grinning at her.

That night I was waiting with Vivi for Minho coming back from the maze with thomas. They might not make it in time. The doors are about to close when I see and glimpse of them. I stand up to get a  closer look.
"Rory, its Thomas and Minho." Vivian starts
"They might not make it."
"They will." I say squeezing her hand tight.

Just as they are about to make it the doors closed.
I could hear Vivian gasp.
"Minho?" she whispers walking up to the door, pressing her hand on it.

I look around us seeing what we could do but nothing came to mind.
"They'll be alright." I say.
"No one and ever survived a night in the maze Rory." chuck says from behind us.
He looks as if he's about to cry.
"Aw chuck you alright?" Vivian says.
"I'm fine." he sniffles. " it's just Thomas was my best friends.
"Bless. Do you want a hug? " I say.
"Yes please. " he says. We embrace him in a comforting hug.
"If I had a sister, I wish she would be like you girls." he says after a while.

"Aurora, I need to speak with you." Alby says.
"What- can't it wait-" I stutter.
"No, it's important. And I'm sure Vivian and chuck will manage."
"Shut up albs my boyfriend could die!" Vivi says glaring at alby giving him a death stare, I let go of the hug and follow Alby to the medhut?

"What's up then albs." I say.

"Well love, im a bit concerned, I talked to Vivian today and she said that you screamed something about the flare? And then you had a nightmare the other night and I'm  worried." Newt said from behind the doorway.

"Oh." I say.

"What did you see?" Alby asks.

"Well it was kinda like a flashback. The flare is some brain disease and it came from the sun scorching the earth I think. And some people are immune to it, that's why we're here, to see if we are." I blurt out.

"Right okay and did you see who was immune?" alby asks.

"No sorry."

"It's not your fault love." Newt says.
"Is that the same thing you dreamt about last night?"
I nod and alby looks between us, raising an eyebrow.
"Well your the first to live after being stung, maybe the venom of a griever reveals some of our memories and that's why is lethal so we can't tell anyone."

"Yeah maybe."
"Well its getting late now we should all get to bed." alby says.
"No" I say, " I'm waiting with Vivian for Minho and Thomas."
"Okay fine." alby says raising his hands in a surrendery way.

Newt follows me out and we go sit by the door of the maze. Vivian is already there with chuck asleep infront of her.
"Looks like someones tired." I say yawning.
"That makes two." she replies.
I chuckle, " they'll be okay. They're strong."
"I know."

I yawn again and rest my head on newts shoulder.
"Goodnight Newt." I whisper.
"Goodnight love." he replies an rests his head on mine and wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
