The next morning in Goryeo was not as bright as it should have been, with the monsoon season approaching.
In a few days, the rains would begin to pour, drenching the country and blessing the nature, dams, rivers, lakes, farms, and the people eagerly awaiting the rain.
In the royal court of the Goryeo Empire, the ambiance was tense. Emperor Taehyung sat on his throne, his presence commanding and resolute.
Behind him stood his loyal guards and other important royals, their expressions reflecting the gravity of the situation.
The discussion centered around the Aranthians, a topic that had everyone on edge.
Namjoon and Seokjin were particularly attentive, their focus unwavering.
Each discussion point was crucial, as the betrayal had not come from an external enemy but from within Seokjin's own kingdom.
Despite this, Namjoon and Taehyung were confident that Seokjin would place the interests of Goryeo above all else.
The court was filled with the low murmur of voices, each noble and advisor contributing their thoughts and strategies.
The air was thick with tension, the weight of the betrayal hanging heavily over them.
Taehyung's eyes scanned the room, taking in the faces of his trusted allies and advisors.
He knew that unity and decisive action were essential in these trying times.
"Emperor Taehyung," Namjoon began, his voice steady and authoritative.
"we must consider all possible strategies to counter the Aranthian threat. Their actions have shown that they are willing to go to great lengths to destabilize our kingdom, and as Knight Hyun has elaborated, he is ready to provide us with detailed information about Western Asia."
Seokjin nodded in agreement, his expression serious.
"Indeed, Your Emperor. We must also address the internal betrayal. It is imperative that we root out any remaining threats within our own ranks to ensure the safety and stability of Goryeo. My father, the King of Aranthia, is misguided, and I will confront him myself."
Taehyung leaned forward, his gaze intense. He had faith in Seokjin.
"We will not allow this betrayal to weaken us. We must stand strong and united. Emperor Emeritus, I trust you to handle the situation with your kingdom. Your loyalty to Goryeo is unquestionable. You may bring General Woo-shik and Commander Seo-joon along with you."
Seokjin nodded his head in acknowledgment. "Indeed, Son. I will do everything in my power to protect Goryeo and restore trust within our ranks."
Taehyung smiled, nodding as he glanced at his second father Namjoon, who gestured for him to continue the meeting.
So he did. "Knight Hyun will be in custody for betraying the country for a few days. However, his intentions were honorable, so I announce that he will be stripped of the title of Royal Knight, in lieu of declaring head snapped punishment."
Taehyung's deep voice echoed in the courtroom, where no Royals could query regarding his Declaration.
As he stood up, prompting others to follow, he continued.
"Protect every area of the country. Ensure that no attacks occur on the empire. Rotate the guards' duties regularly so each can rest and stay healthy. Duke Hyung-sik will be in charge of this responsibility."
Declaring this, he walked out of the courtroom towards the practice area to observe his soldiers.
Behind him followed his two guards, along with the commander, general, and duke.
